We bought two of these lights for our garage. App that comes with it is very user-friendly. I love changing the light ring-color around holidays and the option to choose what type of light illuminated is super cool (obviously the lights have to be 'on' for the app to detect the product). The price was right for what we were looking for. Installation seemed easy enough for our handyman, he didn't have any issues.

This light is super easy to install and is bright. It's much brighter than your traditional incandescent light bulbs. It does state 100W comparison but its much brighter than that. Makes a great utility room, bathroom or laundry room light. In my opinion it's too bright for dayrooms, bedrooms and such. If you were to use it in these locations, I'd recommend installing a LED dimmer switch. This light is dimmable..just needs the appropriate dimmer switch installed. Very low profile light. Good light. Excellent for your front or rear portico of your residence as well.

I just put these in. Replaced hall and closet el cheapo lights. These are bright and look modern and neat. The low profile means that in closets and hallways in particular, if one is hauling around a ladder or other tall item there is no risk of hitting the globe and breaking it. Read the instructions - amazing how that helps! Also, when attaching the light to the holder screws, take the globe off so you can easily see the screw heads to click onto. Then put the globe back. That works much faster than feeling around.

Update: It is now the end of May 2020 and one light in our hall has already gone out. 7 months is not very long. Regular LED light bulbs last much longer than this. Very disappointed. Disappointed because they look great. And now I have to order another one because we need it to match the other one up in our hall. No way to contact CLOUDY BAY through Amazon. Won't order any more from this company after this. Original Review - Oct 2019 - These are great! My husband took down our old ugly hall ceiling light fixtures, we had the popcorn removed and ceiling painted and then he put up these new flat fixtures. WOW what a difference. It looks like a brand new house now - not "this old house". So very pleased. We are going to put them on a dimmer because they are plenty bright and if someone is in bed sleeping it will be nice to pull the brightness down lower. Great find. You will not be disappointed. They really look just like cans up in the ceiling without the hassle/retrofitting. Thanks Amazon May 2020 edit: Installed two of these in our hallway in Nov 2019 and now one has stopped working. 6 months? Used a regular switch too, not a dimmer. Short lifespan. June 2020 edit: The seller did refund our money for the one fixture that went bad and we have ordered a new one so fingers crossed it will last. They are nice and unobtrusive. Once they are up you really don't even notice them up on the ceiling in the hallway. Nice product - so, hopefully the second time will be the charm. So I upped it to 4 stars, knocking 1 off for having to replace one fixture so soon. Thanks!

Contrary to some of the negative reviews, I found that the fixture arrived complete with extra screws and an adapter plate that allows the fixture to be mounted onto a j-box different from the 3.5 inch spacing of the fixture’s mounting slots. It still won’t line up with the screw holes of an outlet box, but outlet boxes aren’t supposed to be used for hanging light fixtures anyway. If you don’t have a proper ceiling box, you may have to place a couple of your own wood screws, but that’s no fault of this product. It was easy to install (despite not having a standard j_box) and it makes a nice unobtrusive light over our kitchen sink where I took out an old fluorescent fixture. I got a soft whit, which is plenty bright for working at and around the sink. Unless I run into reliability issues, I will buy these lights again for home improvement projects,

The light in my pantry was an old fluorescent circular bulb. When the ballast burned out I decided to replace it with a newer LED light. I decided on this one and it works perfectly. It's plenty bright and was very easy to install using the existing wiring. Took less than 10 minutes. Very happy with it, no complaints.

I installed the light to replace a compact fluorescent fixture that was on its last legs. The new fixture is very nice quality. I had no issue with the silicone gasket. I just was careful as I installed it. Installed, the fixture looks very nice. What surprised me was the brightness. I have nearly all my household changed over the LEDS. Most are not as bright as the packaging leads you to believe. I always by brighter than I think is needed. However, this Cloudy Bay fixture is very bright. It is definitely as bright as a 100 watt incandescent. The only problem is now I have to replace the other fixture because it is not as bright as the Cloudy Bay. I see Cloudy Bay makes a 12 inch fixture similar to the 7 1/2 inch so that will be my next order.

Installed this in the shower - connected a wire from the fan box, and through the ceiling. PROS: - very lightweight - it can be installed directly in the drywall ceiling with butterfly anchors, without a junction box (not up to code, but I don't have access to the attic, and I was lazy...) - Takes only 12W (that's why I am also ok with not having a junction box - it barely draws any current) - very easy to install - silver base first, then attach the lamp and screw it in through the provided holes. If you already have a junction box and wiring, installation will take 6-7 minutes - has an optional silicone ring / gasket around the base for wet environments - great price for the value. LED is the future of saving energy! - brings a modern feel to the bathroom CONS: - I would have liked it to be even brighter, but it is good enough for now - nothing else for now, I will update if anything changes

Don't buy their products. Its not compatible with India power standard. I lost my money. There's no international warranty also.
