It worked really well on my 2004 ford f150. 4.6L.

What size socket to fit the tap?

3/8....the ONLY tap I found that has this absolutely necessary feature.

It has the potential to work, but the way the tool is designed it doesn’t work well. I had a spark plug blow out on my 1999 Ford F-150 and I tried this and it didn’t hold in the spark plug hole. Better look around before buying and find a better product. If you can’t then this maybe the only option for you without going to a machine shop.
