310/1005 Mat Slate & Punch Cutter

These cutters saved me £2000, as I decided to tackle the slate roof on my new extension myself and this is the labour price I was quoted. They are powerful and easy to use. Just remember to mark and cut the rear of the slate if you want the finished side to have a riven (bevelled) edge. Thicker slates may need two hands to operate the jaws. Otherwise you can cut one-handed easily. Punching nail holes is also made very easy with the built-in punch.When the roof was finished, my wife and I used the cutters to make some slate artefacts such as cheeseboards with handles, to raise money for the local Scout group.

Excellent for natural slate

An ex roofer, I bought this to make life easy putting a slate roof over my decking. Not cheap but a quality item. Arrived on time (as always when purchased friar Amazon): would recommend to anyone who may be sitting on the fence.

Good cutters work well on even thick slates (10mm) also very comfortable no blisters of yet
