Great product for kayak keel 5 star ✨
I know this product is mainly meant for making gun holsters, but I actually picked it up to make a keel guard for my kayak—and I’ve got to say, it worked out great. The material feels really solid and well-made. One side is smooth, the other has a bit of texture, which was perfect for what I needed. The instructions were super simple, and the company was really helpful too. For the price, it’s honestly a steal. If you're thinking about protecting your kayak, don’t overthink it—this stuff gets the job done and the support behind it makes it even better.

Easy!
Being able to shape your own kydex at such a good price is a game changer. Was able to form some CA Shark Fin grips since I didn't like any on the market. Popped them in the oven for a while and I have a high quality perfectly sized fin! The texture on the kydex is also nice - not too aggressive.

Easy to use can be hard to cut
I recommend power tools like a Dremel or cut off wheels I used a straight edge and a plexiglass cutter and it worked but it took a few mins of scribing to get it to a point I can do a control break on the edge of table or countertop but works great little heat from heat gun it will mold.

Great USA made product!
I've never worked with this stuff before but this is amazing! Its a lot sturdier than I thought it would be and surprisingly easy to work with. The first time I heated it I had to do it over but fortunately it's pretty forgiving material. Once you learn how to cut it and get a good system down for clamping you can make anything with this stuff! My only regret is not learning how to work with this sooner, seriously anybody with patience can make a nice looking product with this! And it's stamped made in USA.

Good materials
Thinner than expected

Excellent for kayak patch
This material is amazing. Using a normal heat gun, a person is able to create just about any shape you can come up with. I made a really nice patch for the front keel of my kayak. Worked great.
