is there anything on the bin to rust please?

The bin is 100% plastic, so nothing will rust. The pedal looks like metal but is in fact plastic.

This bin measures 29cm wide x 23cm deep x 44cm high. BUT the inside removeable bin is a lot smaller - 25w x 16d x 37h. Too small as a kitchen bin, even with all the recycling we do. Might be ok if you are a single working person. Certainly caught me out, as I thought it would be nice and neat in kitchen for two people, but found I was emptying it every day or every other day.
