Decent quality
So I got this to retrofit a mobile home shower that was placed in my house years ago due to an upgrade. At first I needed it however I ended up not using it, but it worked out fine and the threads were just right for NPT. I will keep it in case I need to have a reduction in size again and it’s a decent quality reducer. I do not know so much about leakage as I did not run anything through it at the time of installation however, I’m sure with Teflon tape it would work fine as it was tight.

Great adapters
I had no issues with it. One of those pieces that no local store sold. Fit well on both ends, seems well built. I had no issues with the threads. My only issues was the connection it was going onto was plastic, so had to slowly tighten it until no leaks. Ended up ordering two one for each side of the filter. These are good for the money and how well they feel.

good qualitybpart at a good price
Needed this as a reducer fitting to use a pressure switch. Fits well and no leaks. Good price and will do fine for the life of my compressor.

Leaked and ruined my project
Never had a problem with galvanized, brass or pvc fittings purchased from local hardware stores. Bought these trying to get a higher quality product, leaked out of both male and female threads on both fittings. Tape and pipe dope. Have to assume their threads are out of spec. Now I have to cut out the pex around these and drive to the plumbing supply place 1 hour each way to get a replacement because I was using them to install a filter housing on my home’s main water line.

Good product, machining of the threads was clean and it worked just like you'd expect it to work.

Hard to find, good quality fir my application

Very poor quality. The threads on the one side were showing casting marks. Would not seal even with extra good quality Teflon. Even if it did I doubt it would have been safe. More scams from big red.

Threads were weak and undersized

I intended to use this adapter to increase the size of my faucet to fit hose connection of countertop dishwasher. The packaging indicated the correct sizing but the piece inside the packaging was way bigger.
