Good Buy
Purchased these right before a 10 hour car trip and they work great right out of the box. We used them in a 2014 Dodge Caravan and the power cord is long enough if the screens are in the second row, it reaches the third row but become a hazard to get in and out of the vehicle. The reviews were mixed but for the price we went ahead and purchased it and would so again! We did have an issue with the second screen not working but found it to be the video cable - it was a tight fit and hadn't been pushed in completely. User error.

So much for duel screens
Well when we ordered it we ordered the refurbished set by accident. We ordered it for a Christmas present and did not have a need to use it until earlier this month. When we put it in the truck the duel power cord did not work so we had to order a new one. Once the second one came in it worked! So we get everything set up in the truck, put a DVD in, and start it up. Low and behold the second screen doesn't work. It gets some sound but no picture. We tried to replace the A/V cord and it still didn't work. The main player works fine and we have not had any issues with it.

Well worth the sub $60 investment
Item arrived in a couple of days, exactly as described, functioning perfectly, for a great price. Going to make long car rides with a bunch of kids much more manageable. The 2 9" LCD screens have decent field of view, but not easily viewed from a smaller passenger from too close. The onboard speakers are roughly the same volume as a laptop, so not so easy to hear on noisier rides. They can, however, be hooked into headphones and auxiliary input of a stereo system. All in all, a good system for a very good price.

It's Ok for a refurbished set.
There is some slight wear and scratches on the dvd player but it doesnt affect the picture... sometimes I have trouble getting the movies to play and will have to turn it off and back on and then it will play... it keeps my toddler happy so I am happy! :)

so this is not good for camping
I bought a Philips PD9012/37 portable DVD player. It’s exactly what I expected. Decent picture and sound from both monitors. One monitor reads the DVD and the other displays what the 1st is playing. It has head phone jacks so the kids can lesion to their move and you can lesion to radio. The devices do not have a rechargeable battery, this is a slight draw back as you will have to sacrifice your ‘cigarette lighter pug’. They do provide a wall plug for home/hotel use. But because there is no battery to charge, so this is not good for camping. For the price, it is a great value for long drives. Amazon suggested I buy the TFY Universal headrest mount. The DVD players came with a strap that is more than adequate to mount to the back of the head rest. Amazon also suggested I buy a PWR+ Extra-long 11 ft. car charger. For me this was a good addition because we sometimes need to put a monitor in the 3rd row and the cord the DVD play comes with is not adequate to reach that far (easily* we could technically make it work with a tight cord across the middle of our SUV). If you are not using a 3rd row then you can safely skip this add on as well. All and all, $55 to keep the kid’s content while on a long drive, well worth it!

Better than expected
This is my second purchase of this exact same item. The first time I got them elsewhere a year ago, and they broke within a week of use. They also would restart the movie every time you turn them on. Given these are the same product - they actually work a lot better getting them from Amazon. They don't skip, and they pick up where they left off. The lock is also more sturdy and I'm not worried about having to use the extended warranty - where as last time I wish I had one.

Disappointed
Our old set of these broke, so I was excited to find this double screen dvd player for our trip. First, even the original set (that worked for a couple years) was very sensitive to bumps unless situated just perfectly on the seat. This one was too. I was excited to see a wall plugin and an input cable. Very useful items. Unfortunately, the dvd players that we received were super finicky. The main player worked all the time, but we were rarely able to get them both working. My husband is an engineer and kept messing with it trying to make it work. I don't know if it was the cable that goes between the players or if the connecting ports were bad, but this has been returned.

Garbage.
Doesn't work. Poor quality control.Power cable that runs both screens was frayed with exposed wires touching right where they enter the 12v outlet. Would not supply power and I did not want to risk trying to tape them. I would assume this would have been checked during "reconditioning". No instructions, although the connections were straightforward. The cable connecting the screens was rather short which would have caused it to dangle between the seats if it did work.
