Julian is one of my favourite book boyfriends now , this book hit so close to home and I am absolutely looking forward to Rafa and Ellies story. I am in love with the writing.

OMG, I listened to the audio for this story and all I can say is I'm in love, with literally everything. There is not one thing that I did not like, it was too perfection and the narrators for this book are one of the best. This has got to be the best audiobooks I have ever listened to and these narrators were made for the roles of Julian and Dahlia, their voices suited these characters so well and brought so much life to them. I honestly am lost for words as this book was filled with so much love and joy, there are moments of sadness and they learn to deal with their emotions along the way. Both their professions are quite interesting and as someone who is currently studying Interior Design it was so enjoyable. I would love to go into detail about this book as there is so many things to say but those would be considered spoilers but what I will say is you DO NOT want to miss out on this one, I would definitely recommend the audiobook as it brought me so much happiness, the narrators have kept me hooked to Julian and Dahlia's story. I didn't want this to end, Julian's POV makes you want to give him a warm hug and Dahlia makes you want to be her, she is so independent and picks herself up after the hardships she faces. Julian is just amazing when it comes to Dahlia, he is tender and attentive. It was just too cute and there was also laughable moments which I thoroughly loved. Before I end off I also just have to mention how gorgeous this purple cover is and the details added to it as well as the interior of the book. I cannot wait to get a physical copy of this book as it's just so beautiful. This is one of the best books I've read this year!

4.5 stars Omg I loved this book so much! Childhood rivals and second chance romance? It had me hooked from the start! I love how they first reconnect 😆 they have such great banter and the snide comments were the best haha! I seriously loved Julian and Dahlia together. All the elements that bring them back together were amazing. And their chemistry next level! 😮‍💨 Julian, gah, is so swoony! He falls first and it is just everything. I love love loved him. Dahlia is dealing with a lot and the mental health rep with her is seriously so good and relatable. Depression and anxiety is hard to combat and I think the author touched on it very well. I loved how everything was resolved and the spiteful side of me had me cackling and kicking my feet with what transpires 😆 This one was hard to put down and the narrators doing duet narration were *chef’s kids* perfection! *Also anyone who has triggers about infertility may want to avoid this one.

I had built so many expectations from this book in my head right since it was announced and I was afraid of it being less than what I had imagined but this book really did not disappoint me. Lauren never fails to deliver and that's why she's one of my top favorite authors! Her writing made me fall in love with Julian & Dahlia's story! This book was quite long but never once did I feel bored I was glued to the pages and read it in one sitting! I just felt that connection between Julian & Dahlia and they were perfect together! The things that Julian secretly did for Dahlia were so heartwarming and he was hands down the best book boyfriend! Dahlia was so amazing, talented and had such a wonderful spirit and I just wanted her to heal her soul and I was so glad that Julian played a huge part in bringing her happiness back! He did push her away but all those years apart really made them realise how much they missed each other. The side characters especially Julian & Dahlia's mom's were so chaotic, I just loved seeing them! They were literally the best matchmakers lol! I read all the extra epilogues and those Kane family appearances were so awesome! Overall, this was a very enjoyable read and I'm already excited for the next book.

Man muss Slow-burn lieben, um das zu lesen, aber unabhängig davon, war es ein unfassbar gut geschriebenes und mitreißendes Buch. Die tension war mega und man konnte sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen!

I loved it, the characters, the dynamics, the family, the cameos. I want a Julian in my life, beng a fixer myself we could fix each other :) He was kind, generous, he cared about his people, always making sure they were doing okay, before taking care of his own problems. I loved how he easily understood Dahlia, he is the example of "if he wanted to he would", he knew what she needed and did everything to make it happen. I liked his character, I appreciated the fact that he wanted to settle down and not just be alone, but what I enjoyed the most was his arc, like Dahlia he gradually found joy again in what he was doing: he decided to be less involved in his company work and find the courage to come back to his father woodshop, an hobby/job that really stimulates him and makes him happy. Dahlia my baby, her depression and anxiety were very realistic and my heart hurts for her. I appreciate how she was able to get through these dark days and regain confidence in herself and joy in her work. She's so strong, I admire her sm, I loved her development, how she finally understood that she wasn't the problem, leaved the toxic people in her life, started working on herself to get better and doing what she felt right. I could feel the tension between them since page one, their banter was chef kiss, they are perfect for eachother. I liked everything about them: the pace of their relationship, Julian's gestures, the pranks, the competition between them.
