Okay when I first seen these pliers I thought it had to be a gimmick right but surprisingly enough these are actually a quality made pair of pliers the light I can't say that I would use it I meant it would come in handy if you were night fishing because the light would go directly into the fish's mouth if you had to get a hook out but the quality of the players themselves are they're comparable 2 danco pliers the light can easily be removed with two Allen screws so if you want the players and don't care about and light it would be easy to take off but they feel good in the hand and they would fit in a plier holder without the light but the light is cool to

Wow, these pliers are perfect for almost any situation except perhaps the deepest of hooksets where you will probably need forceps anyway. At 7.5" they are a good size ( not too big or small ). They are a lightweight aluminum which appears to be both durable and corrosion resistant. Replaceable stainless steel jaws easily crimped split shot and the split ring removal tip worked flawlessly. Also replaceable are the tungsten carbide cutters which cut through mono/ fluoro/ braid with ease. The silicone grips feel comfortable in the hand and should prevent them from slipping when they get wet. The light is bright and should be perfect for those early morning and late evening fish hook removals. Lastly, a spring loaded assist keeps your pliers ready for immediate action. I chose the bright blue color which should make them easier to identify in a crowded tacklebag or on the deck of a boat. Although these do not include a lanyard, a loop of paracord run through the handle should remedy any concern for attachment either to one's belt or kayak. So if you are looking to lighten your load and take 1 item as opposed to several ( i.e. pliers, scissors, flashlight ) these fishing pliers may just fit the bill.

The tool we received will work for its purpose, but it is not the tool we ordered. We ordered the blue lighted tool for $32 and paid for that, but received the less pricey item with no light...so we just paid extra for fun I guess.

Quality fishing pliers with an excellent grip and solid feel and the light makes everything easy to see. The cutter easily snips braided and mono lines.

They are very high quality and they cut braid very well. The light on them is perfect for getting hooks out or cutting line in the dark. Very impressed with the construction.
