Split Ender Maxi (Blue)

Getting this in the mail was like getting a blast from the past infomercial celebrity to come and take notice of my lovely red locks. I was so excited to meet him, to take him out of his strangely made binding (the directions are on the cone. And that's all you get.) I read them twice, found some batteries, and got ready to settle down to loosen up and lose those loose split ends. I had a ton- long red hair, constant ironing and neglect... but no.more!! The age of the Split Ender Had Come........turn on that thing sounded like angry bats were trapped in a tube, literally. It is so pound my neighbors knocked on the walls. But I persevered- I had perfectly combed strands of really chewed on hair I was read to feed through. And I did. And nothing. Tried thicker bits. Nothing there either. Tried using the lender in all speeds and settings.... all it did was chew on my hair MORE and tear out parts of healthy hair. It's nothing like it's promised. Stick to nail scissors.

The concept of this product is great. It does what it says by cutting the ends off your hair. Easy to use and kind of fool proof. But, it does have a design flaw. It is rather messy as there is no kind of suction to keep the hair from falling out of the underside and getting everywhere. As I used this I was itchy all over from the little bits of hair falling out. Overall I am very pleased with it but if it could catch the hair up top better I would like it way more.

This item was a waste of money it did not cut my split ends I used it as directed and I still have split ends also it's clunky and just awkward to use maybe it's because my hair is not long I would say it's more recommended for people with long hair if your hair is not at least shoulder length don't buy this I also took that little window off to clean the hair out and can't get it back on I'm just very unhappy with this item

I love this thing!!!!! cuts off all my dead ends:) it says to only run the same strip of hair twice, but sometimes I need three to do the trick. I have long, STRAIGHT hair. I've seen that curly hair doesn't work as well or at all in this machine.

Doesnt work as well and isnt as easy to use as it looks on tv. Not worth the money. Batteries die really fast which causes the hair to pull plus the chamber where the hair is collected doesnt keep the hair inside. Hair gets everywhere!

I've been wanting this product for a very long time. I was very excited to get it that I immediately used it the day it arrived. My only problem with it is that it doesn't get ALL the split ends on the first use. The Miracle Silk is amazing!...it left my hair soft and manageable. I have extremely wavy hair, almost kinky, and I wear it straight all the time but, have problems with the humidity. The silk really helps in managing frizz.

I mostly use it when I have recently finished with coloring my hair, or did just some hair masque. Great for touch ups when in a rush, cannot make it to my stylist when busy. Especially great for travel (just be sure to remove batteries.)
