Very sturdy
Quite heavy but well made.Should last a while.

Failed within 24 hours
Be aware that this is not a plug and play drive. Setup requires basic knowledge of Windows storage management to configure the disk to maximum capacity. Performance once configured was good, write speed was very good. Sadly, over the first 24 hours, performance deteriorated. The disk was constantly 100% busy and became more and more unresponsive until is ceased to work at all. A waste of money.

WARNING DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS OUT THE BOX
Dropping the one star to warn people it does not work with Windows out the box ONLY apples. The instructions to get it to do this are very unclear. If you eventually figure it out you must install another software from them called PARAGON HFS+. Had I known all this clearly and upfront I would have bought something different. OS elitism is weird. Just send your drives out compatible with both.

Painful to use
Beware of this product. I bought this for a desktop mac. When I plugged it into my computer, the external drive was not recognsied (the only hard drive I've ever used that was not recognised). Then it's impossible to contact customer support - I called on my iphone and it asked me to press Option 1 but would not recognise when I pressed option 1. I'm sure there must be a way to resolve this issue but the company makes it really difficult to get the hard drive up and running. Shame as the product looks great.

Not plug and play Drive not recognised
Drive did not display so tried Disk Management and again did not display. I have had at least five external hard drives in the past including another model from this company and did not have any problems with them. Not prepared to waste more time seeing if it is possible to try and get this drive to work. Anyone wanting 'plug and play' should avoid this drive.

Not recognised, returned
I was sent the wrong item 1st time, then when I got this 4TB item it was not recognised on any USB ports on any Win 11 computer, no instructions or help provided, returned.

It's dead now. 3 Months in....
This drive is dead now. I got this to replace a SanDisk that died, and now alas - this too is dead. I cant say I'll miss it, it's kinda heavy and slow. But I'll miss the client data that is stored on it. But what about your back-ups you say... I have them yes, but my working files, are sadly on this drive. So now I'll go, walk down the road and never look back.
