Unfortunately, the electrical outlet is to the right of my fireplace, and my couch is to the left of my fireplace. I need to be able to plug my phone in while I am working on my couch. The solution I devised uses this item and some sticky-backed clips that keep the long cord in place along the floor. As an added benefit, I really like the generous choice of outlets. There are four USB C's and two USB A's, and four traditional outlets. This is a very good price for a very useful product. Normally It lives under the couch but I pulled it out for a photo.

I like that this is a surge protector as well as a power strip. I’m using it on my nightstand to charge my devices at night. The cord it comes with is long enough for my needs and is weighty so that it doesn’t pull the power strip into a strange position as I lay it on the table. This is a good option to have extra surge protection and ability to charge tablets or phone. It is not as heavy weight as I would like as it slides easily.

As a underwater photographer I have a lot if batteries to charge in addition to the phone and tablet. This doss not overheat. No glitches encountered. The only improvement I could recommend is a model with a shorter cord (easier to manage when traveling).
