Silverline 642024 Paint Brush Cover 12 - 75 mm (1/2" - 3")

Having bought a silicone roller and totally fallen in love with how I didn't have to wash paint out until I'd finished (we are talking weeks), I wanted the same for paint brushes. I am renovating a house with a friend and she was washing the brushes after each use. Now we have stored the paint brushes for weeks and they work as well as freshly cleaned brushes. Fantastic product. Wish I'd known about these when I was doing up my house during lockdown.

We all must have done some DIY jobs around the home or workplace that involved a bit if not a lot of painting. The problem one faces is that once you have finished the job for the day and you need to res-use the brushes the following day etc; what to do with the brushes which are saturated with paint.This is where these Paint Brush Covers come in very useful. If you are going to re-use the paint brushes the following day, lets say on the same job and do not want to clean the brushes, well here's a tip that you might find useful. I purchased some heavy duty plastic grip seal bags from Amazon, you can find the link here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VYTJV5G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The plastic seal bags come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. You can purchase a size and and the grade that is suitable for your requirements. I found the thicker bags (75 micron / 300 gauge thickness) to be far superior in strength then the standard 40 micron bags. I leave my saturated paint brushes within a plastic seal bag and I place it inside the paint bush holder. Doing so eliminates the worry of dripping / spilling any paint whilst you are in transit or during storage. It is worth mentioning that these paint brush covers are reusable, easy to clean and solvent-resistant.The manufacturer claims the paint brush covers provide an airtight seal and prevent paint brushes from drying out. i have purchsed severl of threse covers and from my experience these are NOT airtight. For this reason the product gets 4 stars.I purchased this item at full price. cheaply made and doesn't fit most brushes as it states, complete waste of money as it doesn't fit brushes such as - Purdy, Picasso, Harris. all of which are arguably the most popular and common brushes

great little product to pop brush into during interuptions mid job. Does exactly what it is sold for. Easy to clean. Standard brush fit.

Too thin , doesn't hold a 3" brush.

Good idear when looking on web, thought this will help when down tools in between painting and for clean storage, problem is you have to have the right size brush and shape of handleTo fit, I paint all day and have an array of brushes, only one brush fitted, Purdy, Harris, Dulux didn’t

Very good invention. Great that you can leave the brush in it till next day and the brush is still soft ready to use again.

It keeps my brushes from drying out instead of using bags
