When I looked on the Dyson website the genuine part was not available. I ended up upgrading to the Dyson animal version and am glad I did. For Dyson there are the upright vacuums and the cordless versions. We have hardwood floors with some area rugs and the portable is all that is needed most of the time. The upright is usually reserved for deep cleaning and the portable for most tasks like floors, rugs, dusting, crevices, cobwebs and such. I received an Animal V11 from my mom as a gift. Very powerful for deep cleaning jobs like cleaning the cooling fins on the refrigerator or heat pump heat exchanger. Having a dry set means you can always use your vacuum in case of a spill.https://amzn.to/3S1rTs6For any Dyson vacuum be sure to empty the canister before it reaches the “max” line on the canister or the filters will clog much faster with fine dust and you will lose suction. Not only that but is is way harder to empty when full or over full. Try to not go past the half way full point for the best results. I have a number of Dyson vacuums dating back the yellow DC35 which is still going strong today.

Works Great for Me
Was dubious, this fits and works great. I can’t say it’s any larger than the original. But it’s working well. If you have a v11 that you won’t part with and the bin has worn out. This is the answer.

Easy remove and replace broken cannister
Perfect fit for Dyson OEM cannister, they beefed up the two weakest points of the manufacturer's design.

Easy replacement
Compatible with v11 Dyson animal. My original canister needed replaced and this did the job. Easy to replace and haven’t had any problems!

OEM-Like but not perfect
This is a durable product and hard to distinguish from the OEM at first glance. In other words, no one will immediately know you’ve replaced your canister. The unit is larger than OEM, as advertised. The downside to this is that the rubber ring attached to the vacuum is incapable of sealing with the inside wall of the canister. I’m giving it a 3 star review because it does not truly solve the problem of a broken canister and I’m wanting either another canister or new vacuum now.
