Does this prevent electricity from flowing, such as if used in flashlights or radios?

Even though the dielectric value is massive, the film is so thin (4/10,000") it will not disrupt circuitry. This creates an interesting phenomenon with respect to electronics. All corrosion is an electrochemical process. If you can stop electrons from sharing between the metal and oxygen, you stop the corrosion process. This is part of what CorrosionX does. But when you go from the atomic scale to something much larger such as a circuit path, switch, connection, etc., the electricity flows as designed with no measurable loss. It won't damage the aluminum, but it's flammable, so wipe it down good before you fire it up! And of course, avoid getting it in the water supply.

Yes, it will protect metals from battery acid. But please note, battery acid is EXTREMELY corrosion. So while CorrosionX will protect, you WILL want to remove the leaky battery and clean up the spillage because no product can withstand battery acid forever. CorrosionX also does a FANTASTIC job of cleaning corrosion off battery terminals and electronics. hi was wondering if this would work in high-temp applications?  I have a new unwrapped truck exhaust header that I want to prevent from rusting

Protecting headers / exhaust manifold and other components of exhaust systems is a pretty common application of CorrosionX – especially so aviation and in auto racing. As the headers heat up, the base oil in CorrosionX will cook off. So with that, the product loses its mobility (can’t creep, self-heal, etc.). You also lose the lubrication, as the oil is gone. However, cooking off the base oil doesn’t hurt the corrosion-fighting side of the house as much as you might think. First, the “oil” – although it does act as a barrier coating – primarily functions as a transport medium for the active ingredients. But assuming it’s been in contact with the metal for a period of time before it cooks off, the active ingredients have already been disbursed and bonded to the metal. Second when you burn off the oil, it tends to cook into the metal surface in a manner analogous to seasoning a sauce pant. And that coating by itself also provides robust corrosion protection.
