Will it survive the dishwasher, with out corrosion or pitting?

My previous one lasted over 10 years and I always put in the dishwasher. It did eventually pit but after all that time I did not think it was a big deal. If anything in this day and age lasts 10 years you got your monies worth. I still rate this the beat ice cream scoop ever!

What is it made out of?

It's a metal. Ive had one for many years and love it but they aren't easy to find. The part that sticks out on the sides digs right into the ice cream. The new ones I recently purchased, to give as gifts cuz I like mine so much, aren't as sharp as mine but should still do the trick.

What is the type of metal used for the scoop?

I'm not sure but mine has pitted. I ONLY hand wash and have had it for several years. That being said, I do think it scoops hard ice cream very well. I still use it but if the pits get worse I will have to toss and replace.

Does it have antifreeze?

This item is metal with a rubberized handle to facilitate grip. It does not contain any flowing liquid components such as antifreeze.

Great ice cream scoop that really works!

This is my second scoop as the first was over 12 years old and needed replacing. I love the ease of use and cleaning. There are no ‘moving parts’, it’s sturdy, and you can control the size of the scoop you want easily. It’s a great value for the money. I highly recommend! PS: I eat a lot of ice cream! LOL

Weird looking, but it works!

My engineer friend had this scoop and said it was the best so I tried it. He is 100% correct. Easy to scoop even the hardest/coldest ice cream and obtain the perfect shape.

Best Hard Frozen Ice Cream Scoop!

Best ice cream scoop for hard ice cream.My stepdaughter has one. I tried hers with ice cream that was frozen hard solid. It scooped right out.If you care about having your ice cream shaped into a ball (I don’t) then this might not work for you. I like being able to scoop hard ice cream out and put the container back in the freezer.

Excellent Ice Cream Scoop

Works great. Cuts through frozen ice cream nicely. So far best I've found. The handle design is comfortable, solid stainless steel with grip on bottom.

my favorite ice cream scoop

pros:- cuts through frozen ice cream with ease- easy to hold & grip- easy to clean- holds up wellcons:- none yet!overall, this is the easiest scoop i’ve ever owned. it’s so easy to scoop frozen ice cream with this & the handle does not hurt my hand! it’s easy to grip & i love the unique shape. it’s a heavier weight but i prefer that & it’s worth the price!
