Great manual slicer. It even works on a 1/2 setting for firm vegetables like sweet potatoes or zucchini wth few seeds. Scalloped potatoes are easy & fast to prep with this mandolin. Cleanup is a breeze. Love the lock feature for storage since the blade is sharp.

First of all, this thing is RAZOR sharp! After years of trying to manage thin slices of veggies with a dull knife, using this tool is a pleasure, truly a fun experience. I like the slice thickness settings, and I like the "safety" setting that fully retracts the blade for storage and handling. This kitchen gadget is compact, well-made, super-easy to clean, and handy as a pocket on a shirt. If I had to come up with a criticism.... I guess I wish it was a little bit wider, so it would accommodate those softball-size onions that seem to follow me home from the local grocery.

Great product. Easy to hold and use. Slicing onions and cucumbers are a breeze. Harder vegetables like sweet potatoes was difficult but white potatoes were great. We made delicious potato chips. It’s very light. The attachment that holds the vegetables is a little flimsy so watch your fingers.

Worked great, very affordable option. Loved the lock setting for easy cleaning. The different blade options are very helpful and make consistent cuts.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Four reasons I picked this kitchen slicer was, price, next day delivery (actually, took a week but it wasn't the manufacturers fault) & it featured a non slip bottom end as well as a slight cut-out so it barely move when you place it over a bowl. This unit is very sharp, easy to adjust thickness, and very easy to clean. I have used it on three items. English cucumbers/ unpeeled, large sweet onion (had to cut about an inch off the side to make it fit-not a big deal) and roma tomatoes. They sliced perfectly on all three! Would definitely buy this again. They probably don't sell just the blades so I will most likely buy another one or two just to have around. I think it was $9.95 w/ next morning delivery.

We like this mandoline slicer. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and cuts food at your desired thickness. It is best used to slice firm produce, e.g., potatoes, squash, apples, pears, etc. It is not very effective when slicing soft produce, e.g., ripe tomatoes or leafy vegetables. A handy holder for the food comes with the slicer so that you will not accidentally cut your fingers when slicing. This slicer may pose a challenge for the elderly, disabled, and those with arthritis. Still, if you are able to manually operate this slicer, you will be rewarded with thinly sliced produce. We recently cut zucchini with this slicer, and were very pleased at how thin the slices were. It would be difficult to duplicate the cutting with one's hands alone. See the 2nd photo. Unfortunately, part of your produce -- the stub/end -- will remain uncut. Do NOT attempt to cut the stub with your hand/fingers, as you might cut/slice skin off your fingers. This can be very painful. When you're finished with your slicing, the device is easy to wash. Insert the holder between the edges (see the 3rd photo) so that you won't lose it. A word of caution: do not attempt to slice produce without the holder. You can easily slice / cut your finger(s) -- the blades are that sharp. I have already cut a significant amount of skin from 2 fingers and am now very careful when using this slicer. If you can get past these issues, then this slicer is a handy tool that will simplify your life, and at its low price, it is a great value.

This mandoline has been great. Biggest positive if this is the hand guard, veggie holder thing. You can grip the food while you slice which works way better. Other's have less useful guards that are frustrating to use, so you stop using them, which causes you to inevitably cut yourself... Only thing to make it better would be to have 1 or 2 thinner settings.

This tool is exactly as described, do not underestimate how sharp it is! Seriously. Use the grabber tool it came with. Slices potatoes perfectly, it has multiple settings for different thicknesses, and it's super simple to change the settings. As described. Again, it's sharp.

Easy to use and reduces onion slicing time for me! Wish the holder was bigger, you have to cut the vegetable or onion first then use the guard.
