The Oil Painter's Bible: An essential reference for the practising artist (Artist's Bible)

Excellent condition, arrived promptly. Good study for a beginner, I've learnt a few things. Not as chock full of intel as I had hoped, but the book is meant to be relatively beginners resource, so still ok. Good coverage of mediums, techniques and quite a few tips. Loved the fact it focuses on oils and nothing else. It changed my technique a bit after reading it.

This book was an ex-library book, in near perfect condition. The book itself covers the basics of what you need to get started in oil painting. There are helpful step-by-step images. The book focussed on colours and artists’ practical techniques more than structure and composition. Overall I would say this is a good book for people just starting out in oils.

Excellent book. In use all the time

I started painting way back in the sixties, But had to give it up because of my work commitment. Now retired i have gone back to enjoying painting again. This book is a great refresher. A good reference, and a Must for people wanting to try Oil Painting. Brilliant.

To help my son with his painting, he found it very helpful.

I rarely find art-instruction books satisfactory, but this one is an exception. I felt I learned a lot even from the first cursory glance. I'm sure that a closer look - and practise - will teach me a great deal. This is the book I was waiting for!
