Straightforward replacement
The lock came wrapped against a long piece of wood to protect it. Delivered by Parcelforce. It was a relatively easy fit to replace a 30 year old lock. It matched the screw holes on the original. It just required cutting to length - so reasonable hacksaw needed (or I used a Dremel with a small cutting disc).

A good replacement but delays in getting it delivered.
This was a good replacement for the existing lock mechanism. The quality was as good as the original in that it was average. However, it worked well and was easy enough to fit. The only issue being that my first order never arrived as it was damaged while in transit and returned by the courier. It took a couple more weeks to get my money back in my account and another one sent out which looked well packaged when it finally arrived. Hence just 4 stars.

exact fit
It fitted straight out of box works as it should no problems Iferco was trading in the vvirus time could have got iy 7 pound cheaper

No keeps
Lock mechanism itself works well and was easy to fit, unfortunately it is stiff to use. I was disappointed than did not come with keeps for the four roller locking points, when installed I set the rollers as far across as they would go with the intention of adjusting them one at a time to get the optimum fit. Unfortunately the lock was stiff to use so I took off all the keeps, the lock was then easy to use, but as soon as any keep was reinstalled the lock became stiff. I can only assume that newer keeps are of a slightly different design.

Excellent replacement mechanism.
The mechanism itself is great works a treat. Easy to replace my old Ferco mechanism. Just had to trim about 1 inch off the bottom and 6 inches off the top. I bought from Security Hardware Ltd (through Amazon) and the service was brilliant. Very well packaged and a 3 working day delivery.

Replaced an old 428 perfectly
I was a little dubious about whether this would fit in place of my old worn-out 428 mechanism... However, after hacksawing several inches off the top, it fitted perfectly. I also ordered a new handle set and after a bit of tweaking it's like having a new door.
