Had a set of wooden spoons that needed replacing and settled on this set. What drew me to these was the wooden holder that comes with it. We have a metal holder for all of our cooking utensils, but for this many spoons, it would have been too much. And besides, it looks really nice together. So far the spoons seem to be of good quality and there are a number of different types which is nice. They problem with our last spoons was that they ended up splitting after a year or two, which I guess is to be expected after a time, but am hoping that these last longer. In any case, I would recommend them!

I believe these are made mostly from wood. The fray a little (I have had and used these for two months) and there is a slight chance of splinter if you are not careful.

For the price you can't really complain. The set arrived on time and in tact. The tongs had a splitter sticking out but I just touched it up with a light rub of sandpaper. The utensils are feel sturdy and get the job done. If you want a good everyday set or just to try out wood instead of metal, for very little money this set is for you.

My boyfriend lives to cook with wooden spoons and so forth. He is truly in love with this. And you can even hang them on the wall to save draw or counter space. Perfect!

And after bending metal spoon after metal spoon I figured why not try bamboo and it was a great idea these are awesome
