WHY IS THE DESCRIPTION THAT IT HOLDS 400LBs, but the chair has a sticker for 350lbs?!?!?!?!

After a year of use the seat is still thick enough to cushion all 280 pounds of me.

Yes, the HVST141 can have the arms removed. Infact, the arms come disassembled to the chair so if you would not like the arms to be on the chair you do not have to install them.

Q: After assembly, what is the depth from the front of the back to the front edge of the cushion? Being short means lack support if can't sit back enough

From the very lower bottom of the "back" to the front edge of the seat measures 23"; that being said if you look at the images of the chair's back you will see that it bows outward a little where the small of you back would be.; from that point to the front seat edge measures about 20", At 5'5", this chair is comfortable for me and is well made.
