I bought one Jack Rod and used it in changing oil on my son's Chevy Cruze. It's nice, jack the car up, place the jack rod, and no struggle finding a place for a separate jack stand. I used a 2x4 wheel crib for the other side. I decided to get another jack rod (I actually have 3 floor jacks) and changed oil on an Accord and a WRX using two. Really nice using the jack point on unibody cars for jacking and safe support. These are really solid built with heavy steel nicely welded and finish coated. I felt very safe with these. Watch videos on YouTube, these are well worth the money, your safety is priceless. Added on 20240405 - what I found frustrating about the available product information was the min 8 inch length and max 14 inch length. What does that mean for actual jack height? I hope these actual measurements from my two different jacks in my garage help. Jack heights based on rod length settings Arcan 3000 Jack - 12 inch height with Jack rod minimum of 8 inches, 16 inch height with Jack rod maximum of 14 inches. Maximum height of 18.5 inches would need 17 inch Jack rod. Daytona long reach low profile - 12 inch height with Jack rod minimum of 8 inches, 18 inch height with Jack rod maximum of 14 inches. Maximum height of Jack at 24.25 inches would use 24 inch Jack rod XL at maximum.

Good safety item to have, no need for jack stand. Save time & effort in jacking up the car. A mechanical device that keep the hydraulic jack in position in case of a hydraulic failure.

Works awesome for standard flour jacks. If you have a larger jack, like the Daytona 3 ton long reach low profile from Harbor Freight, get the XL. It will work all the way jacked up!

Just used today with my floor jack and what a fantastic product. Very easy to use and made me feel a lot more secure working on my car replacing a reservoir that is under the driver wheel well. My current car is incredibly difficult to find jack points for and so using a floor jack without the fear of it losing pressure right when I'm under my car is a bit of safety and piece of mine that is well worth it. The tool itself is made out of very solid and heavy steel. Keep note that the 3.5 ton and 2.5 ton are exactly the same height, width and shape. The only difference is the 3.5 version has an extra pin that goes through the support holes to further support more weight. If you are only planning to jack one wheel of the car, the 2.5 ton is more than enough to support the floor jack, but at only a few dollars more the 3.5 ton version is well worth it. That being said the package the product shipped in was also of very high quality and there is zero risk of damage during shipping.

Great safety item to have on hand

I wouldnt get under vehicle I wont , jack could move , or wobble and fall over It dose save your jack piston, for long periods of time,

... you already have a floor jack and you have a bunch of unibody stuff in your driveway. Well packaged. Well built and super easy to use. I feel far more secure with this as the big 3 ton jacks have a better footprint vs my jackstands. Time will see how well the side mechanism holds up but it feels and looks sturdy.

Love jack rod and the additional safety it provides on my 3 ton all aluminum floor jack. I needed to remove the front axel shroud for clearance. No more interference.

Absolutely fantastic idea. saw this online a couple of years ago and always thought about getting one. just a great safety feature for any car jack... Especially if the job doesn't warrant axle stands..

Works very well. Worth it to step up to the 3.5T as it’s the same size and pricing isn’t much more then the lower rated unit.
