500 pcs 4"X6" PVC Shrink Film Wrap Flat Bags 100 gauge

I'm using these to seal my homemade soap bars. Here's my method:1) Put bar in the bag.2) Use a food saver to manually seal the open end.3) Poke a small hole in the bag to allow air to escape without building up air bubble pressure.4) Use a HF heat gun on low setting keeping it approximately 6 inches away from the bar. Heat opposite sides to keep the bar centered.5) Once the sides are snugged, I heat it enough to shrink the packing smooth and snug.The only time that I have the shrink film bags split is when I don't poke the hole and pressure builds up or if I get the heat gun too close.

Great deal. I use them for soaps and it gave them a great look. They shrink down quite a bit, about 40%. I'm purchasing a sealer so I can seal the open end prior to using the heat gun. It's difficult to keep the open end together when your hitting it with the heat gun, sometimes it shrinks too much leaving an opening or overlaps and looks bulky. The sealer will make it easier. No more close call burnt finger tips. So, they work great, but you may need to buy a sealer to really get the professional look. The sometimes give off a plastic smell, not terrible and usually when you overheat the plastic. So be sure to have the gun on low and about 5" away, this helps to shrink even & without odor. I'm purchasing more...they're awesome.

These arrived smelling strongly like skunk. My supplier was Betterpak if that makes any difference. Completely unusable for soaps, as I had intended. I tried spreading them out and airing them out for a few days and that didn't help. I even used a few in the hopes that the smell wouldn't be as bad after using it. Nothing works. These things stink.Aside from the odor, they are ok as shrink wrap. Each one has a tiny hole through it that sometimes bursts open when heating. I find that they shrink best with my heat gun on high and around 450 degrees.

I ordered these shrink wrap films to package bars of soap and i couldn't be happier. I actually cut one end off of the bag so both ends of my soap would continue to be exposed to air, to both allow my customers to smell the fragrance of the bars and to also to allow my soap to continue the curing process. They were awesome. I used a blow dryer for the shrink wrapping and it worked like a charm. Highly recommend these bags for your shrink wrapping needs.

I use these to shrink wrap my hand made soaps. They do fine except they shrinking is not smooth - on one side of the soap the bag has bubbles and a lot of crinkles but the other side is much smoother. That doesn't bother me too much since the good side is my label side. Often the shrink wrap does not completely cover the bars but I'm o.k. with that too since it leaves an area for scent smell and the soap can still breathe. These shrink wrap bags were a real good deal and I have bought another bunch of them since the first order. Some people say they are too small for their bars but I make pretty big bars - sometimes 6 oz., and they fit in the bags just fine.

Fantastic product. I use them to seal medicine bottles for that professional look. I put the bottles in upside down and fold the open end down with a piece of tape, then starting from the cap end, shrink the wrap at about 675 degrees F. I get the bottom side really warm and press it down on the table to flatten the wrap. Works really well and makes my products look so much more professional!Between 650-700 degrees seems to work best, any hotter tends to melt the plastic. The shrink ratio is excellent!

I ordered 4x6 shrink bags. These are not 4x6! More like 3.75x5.5-5.75. I had a couple spare bags of the 4x6 that I got from Uline and held them together and these bags are smaller. They do not fit my bath bombs and bubble bars they way I had intended. I used a couple for a few smaller items and these do shrink and seal, just not 4x6. Not happy I have 500 bags that will take forever to get through because of the size. Will not buy again and don't recommend this product.

Im using these on my soaps and bath bombs for the Christmas season. I have bought other ones before that were better, I'm fining these ones get a lot of holes compared to the others I've used and they dont shrink as well. I make 2" bath bombs and they fit in here with about 3/4 of an inch to spare on the side.
