This set is probably best regarded as an educational toy, and as such it is brilliant! If you've ever wanted to understand how locks work, this is the place to start. The transparent cases show most of the workings and seem to be training locks, i.e. they are actually easier to pick than service locks. This is good as it encourages working with them, but be aware that real locks will take a bit more practice.

Very good tool kit for learning to pick locks. The three transparent locks make it easy to see what you are doing, giving you extra experience for picking these type of locks. I recommend it.

This kid does come with a good range of tools. However I don’t think they’re particularly well constructed, with plastic handles, and I think they could be a fraction thinner to deal with intricate keyways. Also would like some alternative tension wrenches such as one specifically for top-of-the-keyway. The “instructions” included are next to useless regarding lock picking, and do not tell you anything about security pins. I can pick the locks that come with this kit but so far no other “real world” ones and believe me I’ve tried a lot!!!
