This is professional equipment used to record some of the greatest music ever made. It was used in the production of: Michael Jackson vocals - 'Don't stop til you get enough' (and other tracks on the Thriller Album); Led Zeppelin's - 'Black Dog' (guitar, Page) & 'When the Levee Breaks' (drums, Bonham). Early versions were designed in 1966, then updated over time. It was not originally a pedal, it was housed in a large rack box for use in a professional recording studio. These pedals normally sell for significantly more than the price I paid on Amazon. They are a premium pedal made for professional musicians. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw the huge discount Amazon were selling them for. Highly recommended

Incredible pedal
Perfect compression, way better than any guitar pedals I’ve experienced, and I tried a lot. True to iconic UA 1176 hardware, with even more flexibility like chaining two units. You need a 250mA 9v PSU, something isolated like Voodoo Labs works great. No noise from the pedal whatsoever!
