PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT — 8-inch Active Studio Subwoofer with Bluetooth for Multimedia, Gaming, Studio-Quality Music Production - Black

If you produce any thing with any sort of base, it doesn't matter how good your monitors are, you need a sub. I have giod monitors and great headphones, but my mixes came out muddy as hell anywhere I played the music that wasn't a decent set up. Adding a sub to my set up has let me mix in those lows soooo much better and it's made playing it on sub standard speakers sound so much better too. So it made the mixes sound better on a good setup but also made it sound better on a crap set up and got rid of a lot of muddyness. Having a sub truly is imperative to producing/mastering your own mixes. Looks great, functions as you would expect, plenty of drive, connects through Bluetooth (though I have it set up connected to my monitors through cable) size is as stated so nothing to worry about if you have a specific area you want to place it. Not remote controlled but honestly who needs that when you have the controls on the PC right Infront of you. The Bluetooth is pretty useless I feel unless your whole system is set up on bluetooth, as you need to either have Bluetooth or your audio interface playing, you can't have them both on at once unless you can find a work around.

The connectivity, both cable wise and bluetooth, is very good at this price point. XLR would be nice but the TRS is good enough. The sound is something else for an 8 inch sub. If you want to annoy the neighbours, just an example but not a good idea so please don't do this, this sub can go very loud. Tried some DnB and this thing was shaking the floor. Surprised me how this handles dance music. It also sounds very good at low volume and quite detailed for this price point. All in all, a great sub for the price and size.

fantastic speaker for the price! Works well with any studio monitor. Paired nicely with my pioneer DJ DM-40S after some balancing with a db meter. a phone app will do just fine when getting the levels correct. would recommend to anyone who wants some more bass in their sound :D its so powerful that i had to put the gain down to 15% for my setup lol

Great for the money

I bought this for my home Spin cycle studio on a whim and it's really pulled the room together! The build quality is superb, and oh my God that bass - it absolutely kicks. I've had to turn most of the knobs down to one to avoid blowing out my windows. Absolutely outrageous how much bass this thing can generate and keep it so tightly controller. I doubt you'll get more joy for £155 anywhere else.

I'm very imporessed with this purchase, I set it up with unblanced cables the only problem I have with them (if its really a problem) it I cant set it to the recommended settiongs because its so powerful I do find i have to make adjustmens for diffeerent types of music, or when watching films but that happens with any set up because of recording levels. it works well with my monitor speakers one just has to calibreate them, i really glad I chose this over the others i saw.

Sounds great! I wasn't sure how good this was going to sound as it was basically the cheapest sub I could find...but it sounds awesome!

I do music production using the Adam A3x which lacked in the bass department. This helped it negate the disadvantage and helped to give a more uniform bass sound. It’s cheap for the performance you get out of it. I have a small Room so this 8inch is enough else it be bass will echo or linger longer. Pretty good and useful. Makes listening to music more fun.
