I have been a CCTV installer for 10 plus years and I really like this tester kit. It does exactly what I need it to do for me, every feature is a tool and I am glad I can do everything with this kit.

I needed to replace my old toner/tester. I came across this one that a co-worked used. I love the functionality that it provides. I can check ethernet cables, tone, as well as a few other options that I don’t really use. Both feel good in the hand, and made well. The screen is easy to read. You select the test, and it shows you which connector to use. Both have rechargeable batteries. Like others have said, not all charging cables work. I opted to use the supplied cable. No issues so far. For the price, it’s worth it.

I specifically chose this product because it shows Internet speed testing, both in the product pictures and on the device itself, however it actually only identifies the switch port speed.

Bought this tester for setting up a new network in my home intended to use it as a way to test all the cable runs I am having to make. However I decided to do testing at work while we were waiting to move. I am very Impressed buy this device. Using the continuity scan I was able to determine bad connections on 5 lines that would not work. Using the length measurement feature I was able to determine where the issue was on each line and which end to start from. The worst being a cable which said there was a break about 3ft in the line. Luckly this line was behind a panel and after removing it helped me to determin the line had been crushed when the panel was assembles. The scan function works very well and helped me identify many un-labeled ports so far. I have yet to try other features but that alone impressed me very much. I do wish it had the ability to plug in and receive a DHCP address to make it easy to determin what network a port is on but you can substiture ping or IP scan function to make that determination. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive, I must say it is worth the price I paid and now I may have to order another just for work.

This device does more than a standard cable tester, with functions like IP scanning, PoE testing, port flashing, and network rate checks. For IT or network techs, it provides a lot of useful data in one unit. The TDR function is helpful for identifying cable faults and distances. The interface isn’t the most intuitive, so expect to spend time with the manual before you can use all features effectively. Build quality feels solid, and it’s reliable once you know your way around it.

Didn't function as advertised. Instructions were lousy and incomplete

The tester has a locator feature, which makes it super easy to identify the cable you need to test. Once you have located the cable you can test the cable and visually see which wire is faulty. Haven't tested length or other features.

This thing has a ton of features. It worked out of the box, and was jam packed with features. I was using it to determine where a break in the cable was, and it told me the distance. It is wonderful. Highly recommended!

tengo una situacion con este producto actualmente apenas va a cumplir 4 meses, se ha usado poco realmente y el detalle es que ya se le va a termianr la bateria, le quedan 2 rayas de carga pero lo pongo a cargar y no se recarga la bateria, que aplica para estos incidentes?, se puso a cargar 1 hora primer, despues 4 horas y nada, luego se cargo con un cargador estandar y sigue sin cargar nada? que aplica en estos casos
