Really enthralling experience. Yes, it's short, but I don't think it's fair to judge VR games based on quantity over quality. What's here is quality in every sense. Definitely the best looking VR game to date and the 3D audio is immersive. I wouldn't recommend playing with the Move controllers, though. I never was quite comfortable with the controls. Play with the Dualshock instead.

The haters are completely missing the point. VR's new standard.
Not for everyone, but certainly amazing and incredibly engulfing, particularly for a VR game. It's one of the first of its kinda that allows you to use your voice to answer questions with your voice. Yes, it's been done eons ago, but doing this in VR takes on an entirely different delivery.I assume that the naysayers complaining that this game is "too short" didn't realize that this game was meant to be played multiple times and experienced via different possibilities via the butterfly effect that its predecessor games employ. When taking the various stories into account the game becomes more than a 10+ hour game, if not more.

Surprisingly scary
I've only played the game once through so far and I definitely enjoyed it. Took me maybe between 2 and 3 hours to finish. I was very surprised with how scary the game was. There were a few times where the game tries to give you a good fright, like in a horror movie, but I thought the scariest parts were when you almost expect something to jump out and frighten you but it never does. There were a couple of times, walking through dark hallways, where I didn't want to look off to the side into rooms because I thought there might be something scary. There were even times when I wanted to take the headset off and stop playing because of this, which is a great endorsement, in my opinion. It's rare for me to feel that way about a video game or movie. My first play through was done with the Dual Shock controller, which was fine with me. I tried playing again with the Move controllers but had some problems. The whole time during cutscenes it would show images of the Move controllers on the screen with red X's over them, as if the game was telling me I couldn't use them. But instructions would show to press the "move" button on the controller to start the game, or in the first scene where you can actually move around it said to push the "move" button to move forward. That worked, but when I was instructed to point the right controller behind me and press the button to turn around it didn't work. I got stuck at that point with the NPC telling me over and over to turn around but I couldn't. Had to give up on that play through and will try the Dual Shock again next time.As mentioned, the game is pretty short, but you have 6 times where you can choose an option to enact the "Butterfly Effect", which dictates how your game will go. This means there should be 2 to the 6th, or 64, if my math is right, different paths that you can take, which leads to over 100 hours of game play if you do them all. I feel that would be very boring to try them all consecutively, but this might be a game that you can pull out from time to time and quickly play through to see something new.Overall I think this game is worth it for the right price. I pre-ordered, I think at about $40 (minus Amazon discount), and I feel that might be a little high for what you get. I definitely think it would be worth it for $20 bucks or so.

The impatient game rocks!
Wow! Wow! WOW!! This game will literally blow you away. The graphics in the game could have been a lil sharper but other then that, I’m speechless. The experience on the VR is phenomenal. There’s a scene where they are pushing you in a wheel chair. I literally immersed myself into the game and felt like I was actually there. It blew my mind. Try the game for yourself. It’ll rock your socks off. Lol!

This is a very good and entertaining VR game
This is a very good and entertaining VR game. Not sure why people are complaining . This game it supposed to be played again and again to get the different out comes. You can use your own voice to interact with the in game NCP. its fun tense and scary at some points. Its a mystery story. I loved it. VR are is evolving into a great new game mechanic. I find it hard to go back to 2D. I would recommend this game to anyone.

Pure and utter boredom & garbage
This game is not a game that will challenge you, it's supposed to be more of an immersive experience that puts you in the story to a thriller movie and makes you the main character. The only thing is, the movie sucks. The plot makes no sense, the acting is terrible, the controls and movements are wonky, and the ending makes you rethink why you just sat through two hours of nothingness for no closure (and at least 1 hour of it being walking at a slow pace following another story character to get across the asylum). The game feels very unfinished in all aspects. Not one bit of the story goes together with the rest... making me really think I'm going mental by playing it & not understanding a thing. 3 Jump scares and a long drawn out cutscene is what you're looking at for the price. I think the developer should send out a game update that comes up with an apology at startup for hyping the game up and not delivering. When someone buys just about any product on amazon and they don't like it, they can simply return it. I wish I could do the same with The Impatient.

A 2 hour walking in the dark with a flashlight game for PSVR.
Wandering around in the dark with a flashlight is a good summary of The Inpatient, as most of the time you're following a character through the empty halls of the asylum, mysteriously taken over by something from outside. The game looks decent with nice graphics, but the plot is slow to unfold, even though the game only lasts about 2 to 3 hours if you take your time. The PSVR visuals are neat, but there's just not enough excitement in this story driven game where you are just walking ahead to start the next cutscene dialog. There are moments where you make decisions, but most of your decisions feel without consequences. It's an okay horror experience but not great as I wasn't scared a single time, not because I didn't want to be, but because the game didn't intrigue me as I was hoping. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for this walking in the dark demo. Decent, but could've been so much better if this was only the first chapter of an 8 chapter game. Too short.

Chato
Mesmo lendo as avaliações, literalmente paguei para ver. O jogo é chato, não sai daquilo, tem um ou outro sustinho, mas é muito chato. Dá próxima vez, eu aceito as opiniões.

Nice ambiance
Relies a bit too much on loud noises for scare but is a decent horror story

This game could of been alot better! Not worth it!
Game drags on until the end, n that's when it starts to get good, but unfortunately, the game ends n that's when it gets good, very disappointing! Like they had the right idea but they failed miserably with a great idea! Game takes place in the hospital where until dawn takes place in the mansion they run into, that's y I bought the game in the first place, u can even speak out the answers of your choice n it's like ur doing the acting, it's how they dragged this game for nothing, this game could of had great success if they would made more action n continued it instead of ending it the way they did! Another thing they failed miserably at was the controls, the controls were probably the worse controls I've ever tried in vr! Well that said, the only reason I gave it 2 stars was cause it was a great idea for a game that could of been another great game by supermassive games! I was actually mad how bad they failed at making this game! Shame on supermassive games!
