So much storage for not many monies.
I've managed to knock it off my desk a few times too, straight onto the hard, un-carpeted floor. So its pretty robust!

Linked to MacBook and storing safari images every day after game drives
Easy and simple to set up, less likely to go wrong as SSD and compact for travel

Everything's great, but it makes noise when under load
I've had it for just under a month, so can't comment on how it survives under different scenarios. The SSD is ok - snappy and all looks good. There's noise (beep-boop, electronic, modem-like) when it's under heavy IO load. I don't think that's a good sign. Also, can't really comment on the protection level - the password protection that it comes with requires a separate app, which I assume pipes all reads/writes from/to it.I'll stick to it, it's a nice little gadget.

The worst harddrive
When it works, great, but it constantly has to be unplugged, replugged or is unreadable and unwritable tooIt doesn't work well as an eXfat format to transport between windows and mac, so if that's what you need get something else
