Just got this and it seems to work pretty well so far. I’m told I have fine straight hair, but a lot of it. Personally, I don’t think it’s a lot and I do see thinning as I get older. One problem I have is my hair just falls flat all the time and ponytails tend to fall out. This product is working well. It’s easy to use. I just pulled my hair up, kind of stuck the thing in the middle and wrapped the ponytail holder around it and my hair. I did put a thicker cloth ponytail holder over it just because I preferred the look of it for the day and I wanted to make sure it is secure. I have had it in all day and have been doing yard work and heavy cleaning and it is still perfectly in place and looks cute. It’s not noticeable at all and is perfectly comfortable.It is small, so I can imagine it may not work well for someone with really thick hair. But it works for me. After trying a few products that claim to give your pony a lift, this is the only one I can say works at all for me.

It shows thru my ponytail throughout the day, it slides out of my ponytail, if i try to make a tight ponytail, pull my ponytail to make it tight, it digs into my scalp. If you get migraines or have a sensitive scalp this will make it worse. And my hair was still flat, it didnt work. If I make a loose ponytail so it doesnt dig into my scalp, the thing falls out. I had better results using 2 rubberbands.

Okay, here's the scoop. I couldn't find the ponytail hair bump that I bought years ago. I probably couldn't find it because I had only used it once, as it was too large for my fine hair. It would make my ponytail go sky high and look like the one in "I Dream of Genie!" So I started researching on Amazon and found this product. You really can't tell its size from the photos. After reading the reviews, some customers complained it was too small, which I figured would be a good thing for me. Then I found some reviews written by customers who also have fine hair, and those people loved it. Well, add me to the list of customers who LOVE it! It is PERFECT for fine hair! It looks great, very natural and is quite comfortable (read, I can't feel it at all). To get an idea of how fine my hair is, my silk hair tie has to be twisted three times for a ponytail. Wearing this product, the same tie is only twisted twice, thereby giving me the exact amount of enhanced ponytail volume that I wanted. I couldn't be happier. PS: The price is right, too.

I struggle with keeping it in place while smoothing the hair that I'm adding from the bottom. I never use it because it's a pain.
