This plane is advertised as a child's toy but I, as an adult, am finding it useful as an entry into hobby-level RC planes. I have spent more time and money that I would care to think about on various hobby-level RC planes, but have crashed one plane after another into oblivion. I have lost count of how many times this little thing has been crashed but, like the Timex watch commercial said "It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'". Also, it is amenable to flying in smaller spaces. First flight, crashed into 3" tall mown grass and nose broke off. Still flies, and it's kind of interesting playing with throttle and steering trying to dupe the vid where somebody flys a circle indoors and catches the plane in their hand... Addictive, even. Technically, if the battery runs out while it is in the air, you will have zero control and it will just fall out of the sky - nose first. But practically, there is plenty of warning as power fades towards the end of the battery's charge. One thing that I was all spun up about was supplemental battery, availability since 250mah batteries with MX2.0 plugs were not available on Amazon except for 1 seller that wanted about five bucks for the battery and another five for shipping. But the good news is that 300mah batteries are readily available and *just* fit in this plane's battery compartment. The only thing between four and five stars for me is that this plane's radio cannot be vound to a third-party transmitter - and reasonable people could call that an unfair criticism considering this plane's low cost. Finally, the transmitter's On/Off switch slides too easily, making it prone to turning the transmitter on while it is being carried loose in a bag or box. Not a huge deal, but a clickable switch on Release 2.0 would be an improvement.
