Value for money
Perfect product for your home! I will always have fresh and safe water to drink. I’ve probably already used about 25 gallons and I already see the savings from bottled water. The taste of the water is extremely refreshing! Assembly was easy, filter speed it takes about 10 minutes to fully filter. No leakage, value for money!

I measured and timed the outflow...
I bought the 1 gallon Purewell gravity filter. The assembly directions were meh, but it was pretty simple to put together. Nothing leaks after several uses. At first, I didn't think the filter was working. It's VERY slow to start. Drip...drip...drip. Took all day. By the 3rd full cycle, however, it was much better. A thin but mostly continuous drizzle. And it tasted good. No funky taste or odors. On cycle 4, I measured and timed the outflow. I filled the top chamber with a full gallon (4 quarts). It gets right to the top, but it does all fit. After one hour, I was able to dispense 6 cups of water (1 1/2 quarts). I had to tilt it a bit to top off that sixth cup. After a second hour, I was able to dispense about 5 and 2/3 cups of water, tilting again. So it does slow as the weight of the water pressing down on top lessens. The third hour, the flow pretty much stopped, so I went to bed. The next morning, there was very little to dispense. About 1/3 cup. 2 cups remained in the top chamber that never flowed through. And 2 cups remained in the bottom chamber below the spout, even after tilting. So the output is 3 quarts per cycle. My conclusion: 6 cups an hour is plenty for myself and my husband while we're camping. We'll just have to refill the top chamber a few times a day. The filter's size is ideal for packing, and it appears to work well. I recommend running a few cycles through PRIOR to camping or you'll be thirsty that first day!

Good size and works well
I got this filter to help reduce the occasional strange taste or odor in the city drinking water (and coffee tastes better, too). It has worked well for the past several months (almost a year). I have the 1.5 gallon version with 2 filters (no separate chlorine/fluorine filters, though it would accept them).Negatives:My biggest gripe is that _most_ of the parts are stainless, except for the washer they provide to go on the top handle. It rusted within a couple weeks of starting to use this. I stopped by my local Ace Hardware and replaced it with a true stainless steel washer - problem solved.Second, the spigot sits up a bit from the bottom of the reservoir, so either leave about a pint of filtered water in the bottom, or tilt the whole unit to get the last of the water out. (I'm not sure that I've seen a better design with other suppliers). I've just been continually refilling it...Positives:I have been using the plastic spigot (it comes with a metal one as well). No issues with leakage (again, after several months of daily use). The filter process is quick - faster than some other similar water filters quote in their specs (including that "B" company). I can fill up the top and have enough filtered water for morning coffee in just a couple minutes (before the bread pops up out of the toaster).I definitely recommend getting the stand. It elevates the spigot high enough to easily fit my 2-cup (half liter) measure without having to tilt. Every coffee mug in the house also fits under with ease (one at a time :^)Overall I am pleased with this unit and I would purchase it (or a bigger version) if I needed another water filter.

Generous introduction to gravity water purification system
Considering all of the parts included in this package, it is a very good value compared to some of the other counter top gravity water purification systems on the market. However, for us, it has some positive and negative values. The fact that it comes with a stand and two different styled spigots and tools to put the whole thing together is great! The stainless steel body is lovely looking and even comes with a rubber like ring to attach to the bottom to reduce any sliding. All of the items included are of good quality and well thought out for convenience and usability. It is our first time using a gravity water purifier and my husband and I had it put together fairly quickly with the exception of priming the two water filters under the sink faucet. We’re still not sure if we got it right. After set up, our impression of the filtered water is as follows:1. I have been drinking bottled spring water for years so the taste of this filtered water is a little disappointing. It tastes better than our tap water but tends to taste very flat. If you have experienced drinking hard water, it is that kind of taste we are getting. Ours is city water so who knows what is in it.2. We installed the included metal spigot that came with the whole set up rather than the plastic one. The metal one does not leak but after you use it a small drop of water eventually drops out. I have taken to leaving a small cup underneath to catch that little drop(s). This is not a big deal for us but worth mentioning.I had high hopes this system would help to replace our bottled water usage and will keep using it in order to see if we can adjust to the taste of the water or if maybe trying different filters make a difference in the taste. For cooking or tea making it is fine but I drink a lot of plain water and after so many years of drinking bottled spring water have gotten kind of picky about how water tastes!
