Honest review
Bought these yesterday, and took them.out for a test run this morning, what can I say about them they look good and sound good, and like the page says full.of features. Functionality wise I can honestly say I can't fault them they have everything you need, they can be so sensitive that a leave hitting you line can set off a bleep so you can be sure your getting all the info you need from liners and pickups. The batteries are expensive but don't that bother you, firstly in normal mode the battires will last for an age but the more you use the remote features and Bluetooth as you can expect it will drain them, the receiver it small and has LCD display screen as well as led lights can be tricky to use as there is a single multi function button to do everything and not much in the way of clear instructions. To use the Bluetooth function you have to put the alarms in remote mode and turn on the Bluetooth on the receiver. The button on the receiver is touch sensitive so if using the lanyard and walking you can catch it making you think your alarm has gone off. The on off switch is a lever on their top of the receiver and can be switched to on with sound on vibrate only or off sadly it is also easy to catch the switch and turn off your receiver. I reccomend checking before turning the alarms on to silent. The mute button is a god send as it saves all those annoying beeps when setting your line. And the halo night light works well. All in all these alarms are right up there with the likes of delkim for quality and peformance, well worth the money and only a coupe of niggles that you can work around easy I would reccomend these to anyone.

These are a serious alarm.
I seriously took a risk buying these as I had never heard of the brand before. The specs looked good and I liked the idea of built in illuminated snag ears. They came nicely packaged in a case but I'm the sort of angler that likes to keep as much set up ready to go fishing as possible so they stay on my buzz bar in my bag. I have had these for a few months now and they are without doubt the best alarms I've had! The night light is really cool and comes on itself as it starts to get dark. Everything is programmable either from the receiver or an app on my iPhone!! You don't have to have the snag ears on all the time, I take them off at the end of a session and you get blank screw on caps to cover the connections, I also purchased the rubber covers for the alarms which won't fit with the snag ears on. (Wish I'd seen the other colours for the covers before I bought the bright yellow ones!!)Anyway, I've used these in the seriously strong wind we had a couple of weeks ago, tweaked down the sensitivity and they were perfect. I've used them in a downpour and they never flinched. I love these alarms and will stop looking for the next big thing!!

Avoid at all costs!
Avoid! Had my alarms a little over a year, and I’ve now got one alarm that no longer connects to my receiver no matter how many times I try to reconnect it and erase the memory of the receiver. The lighthouse snag ears worked fine at first, however now I have both on one alarm do not work, one on another alarm seems to have a loose connection as if they are held down they work but the second you let go it stops working. Yet on the third alarm I have no faults at all.Bluetooth connectivity and app isn’t all that. I’ve attempted many times to control the alarm via the app or even the receiver and it does not change the settings on the alarms. Once again, I have reset the receiver and repaired with the alarm and still no joy.And finally, whenever I have a slight issue with an alarm, I will always try to troubleshoot the alarm myself. I can find no word of the issues I am having anywhere on the internet and considering how many different problems I have had on the alarms, I would assume that there would be some form of negative review somewhere yet all I am seeing is good reviews.Never have I had a set of alarms that have disappointed me so much. Not happy at all. Paying £190 for some alarms that New Direction Claim are all singing all dancing. I wouldn’t pay a fiver for them now I’ve had them this long. In the market for a new set now.

Great alarms, great customer service
Good alarms, I've used these alarms a few times now, did a night fish and the receiver definitely wakes you up, the volume is loud (you can also have it on vibrate), the bluetooth feature is nice when you have the odd knock to see how far it has actually traveled, the light up snag ears are a really big help to find which of 3 rods is moving on the dark and seemed to work very well the only downside I've found with these alarms is they don't come supplied with battery's like most other alarms do. I had a slight problem with one alarm after a few uses (one lighthouse wouldn't light up) emailed new direction had speedy replys and the problem was resolved customer service was 100% I would reccomend these alarms to anyone, wether you are new to the sport or have been angling years.
C**!
After having these, i cannot recommend them!
At first i thought yay! After having them a while i now think nah! These alarms are a good buy if you can put up with your line get caught in a snag area right next to the motion wheel. Its almost like a wheel arch! Bad design folks which your line will get caught in. You'll get a run and strike but the line remains snagged on the alarm!A real shame as these alarms in general had a good chance!Sold mine and went for the best money can buy!

Pricey but nice.
I was being rather indulgent when I purchased these alarms but have to say that I do like them and I’m glad I made the purchase. They connect to a smart phone via an app and will also connect to a bivvy light that turns on when the alarm is activated (separate purchase)They are easy to use and they also look the part.
