At least they try.
I'm an Altra fan. I don't love their shoes but I do like them. For starters, early versions of all their shoes were wider. From what I can tell, runners complaining that they were sloppy is why over the years they keep getting thinner. This in an issue for me, my foot bulges the sides and hangs way over the sole. People need to understand, if you want foot shaped shoes and toe splay... You need to be patient and your foot will spread to fit wider shoes! Please stop making these thinner Altra! The issue for me is the tendancy to roll my ankle. Being elevated on a cushioned sole, but the sole being at least 3/4 slimmer than a good splayed foot is like walking on stilts.I'm not running in these. But when I do run on a flat surface, they're nice! I don't see how anyone could be trail running in them without sprains or broken ankles. If you are a foot shaped shoe brand, please continue making them foot shaped! Just having the toebox not come to a point is only like 1/3 of the equation. They do well with the zero drop which is another third. But the last 3rd which is actual foot shaped with some splay, Altra is failing at. Feel free to read reviews on their own site. Many agree with me. Some love the slim fit, because they don't wear exclusively foot shaped shoes.Switch 80% of your footwear and watch your feet splay and your balance improve. Hip, knee and low back pain will reduce over time. Overall posture will improve as well. But please stop making them thinner Altra!

Pain-free walking after more than a year!
If you suffer from plantar fasciitis like me, many shoes do not lessen the pain despite wearing hard plastic inserts. As a result, I had to quit walking for exercise about a year ago because I could not locate a walking shoe that permitted me to walk without pain. That said, these shoes are amazing! They are light, have a wide toe box, and feel really good while wearing. I went for a two mile walk, and I didn't feel any pain while walking or after walking. Several follow-up walks have been successful as well. Try a pair; you won't regret your purchase.

They don't "run big".
A few people in reviews said to order half size smaller. Weird. I ordered my normal size and may need to go a half size larger. Shoes look cool. Looking for super thin socks before I return for next size up.

Good Cushion and Grip
Right out of the box I took these on an overnight 42 mile backpacking trip. There was a lot of rocky terrain and some bogs so I wasn’t sure how they’d hold up. So far, they feel extremely light but have enough protection that my feet didn’t ache after a 28 mile day and they show no signs of coming apart.

worth it at the discounted price
Tried them on in an authorized dealer store but didn't like the price. Amazon had the discounted price. I love these shoes. Other models have a bit more cushion but so far I feel like the shoe will hold up much longer then other brands I was wearing through to fast.

Way bigger than any other ones.
I don’t like that they are a whole size bigger.

Super comfortable
Designed for people who want minimalistic shoes. Zero drop obviously. Good for people who want no extra arch support. Cushioning is still decent.

グリップが弱い?
ローンピーク4よりも底のグリップ力が弱い感じがする。とは言え歩きやすさはバッチリ。こういった非防水ローカット登山靴は、消耗品と割り切って使うのをオススメします。

Best hiking shoes ever
I do quite a bit of hiking including long day hikes and the occasional backpacking trip in the mountains here in Alberta. I used to use hiking boots and have tried at least 4 or 5 different ones, but I would always get nasty blisters somewhere. The last few years I've kept trying progressively lighter shoes and I've ended up using Altra Lone Peak as my favorite. I used a pair of Lone Peak 4's for a number of years and they did very well. Comfortable over long distances, enough strength in the sole for walking on rocky ground, and NEVER any blisters. They also dry fast, so you can just wade through stream crossings and they'll dry out quickly.I've tried out my new Lone Peak 7s on a few hikes and they are even better than the 4's. The Lone Peaks have always had a wide toe box, but the 7's have a little more height at the toe which I like a lot.The other thing I love about them is I can tie them tightly for descents so my feet don't slide and have my toes hit the end of shoe. No more black toenails!

The colour is gopping, but the price reflected that.
I had LP6s but a size up (12). I found them uncomfortable when descending steep slopes.I'll report back once I've worn them for a while.
