Wicked Cravings : Wright, Suzanne: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Fantastic paranormal books - This was a well written and interesting book. Dante and Jaime were both well rounded characters. Jaime is a feisty, intelligent and spunky character who has been damaged emotionally in the past when she saw her parents killed in front of her. Dante is also a bit damaged as he closed him self off emotionally to protect himself during his childhood. The majority of the book focuses on them trying to get passed their pain to be able to bond properly. The developing relationship between the two is written in a believable way. I enjoyed reading the way they first fought each other but as they trust each other the relationship developed. I enjoyed the subplot between the alpha of another pack, Nick and Shaya and I hope that the next book will be theirs. I also loved the fact that the main characters from the first book in the series, Trey and Taryn, featured in this book. I have read a lot of paranormal books and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait for other books from this author! Review: 4 star, recommend - A fanny flutterer of a shifter audiobook! All the ‘you’re mine’ vibes you could wish for plus a good plot to go with it!

Wonderfully wicked
Jamie has switched to the Phoenix pack, the pack her long-time crush just happens to be a member of; unfortunately for Jamie, Dante just isn’t interested in her. Or at least that’s what she over hears him telling Trick. He’s not as disinterested as he makes out though, and he’ll only be able to hold out for so long once he finds the perfect excuse to keep her close. Things won’t go smoothly between them though, not with Jamie keeping secrets, and with a one night stand claiming to be Dante’s true mate. Thankfully neither of them has any interest in finding their mates or imprinting on another. Jamie and Dante’s story is heart-breaking and beautiful. Jamie is hiding quite the secret and once it’s revealed she feels she has no option but to leave. While she might not be sure of Dante or his intentions, she needs him if she’s to strengthen herself enough to keep her wolf contained. He’s willing to fight for her, even when she’s ready to give up. Jamie is such a loveable character. She’s sweet, bubbly and has a big heart, but what I love most about her is the fact that she loves animals. Not only does our Jamie work at an animal shelter but she adopted a cat – Hunk- who seems to have been abused in the past. The ugly cat seems to dislike Dante as much as Dante dislikes him, which is amusing. There’s no love lost between the two of them and my favourite quote (below) from this book actually highlights this. If there’s a moto for this story it’s possibly ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,’ as Dante has some crazy exes out there and they are the cause for much of the tension in the book. I want to feel sorry for Dante but then I think he might just be the kind of guy that attracts the crazies. He says he likes his women feisty, not crazy, but it would seem his history with women speaks differently. Even Jamie, who prefers to be called spirited, could be labelled as being a little crazy. It’s no wonder Dante has a kinky side, I’m sure he’s had to restrain more than one of his partners in the past. I’ll let you discover just how good he is with the kink, for yourself. Quote: “If you were a stray kitten, I’d give you a kick up the ass and walk away.” She did a double take. “You’d kick a kitten?” “I’d kick Hunk if I didn’t think the gremlin would eat my foot.” Suggested Audience: Adult readers of Paranormal Romance Perspective: Third person, with a focus on Jamie and Dante Profanity: Frequent Sexual content: Frequent and explicit Violence: Frequent and severe Cautionary element(s): Attempted rape and torture

A Step back in the series! disappointed!
I truly loved the first Suzanne wright book, feral sins, in the Phoenix Pack series and gave it a five star review. this second instalment however was disappointing. the story was ok, but the pace of the book was off. it started pretty good but ran out of steam in several places. the last book I couldn't put down it was a total page turner, this one not so much. I liked the characters to a point, but as a couple there was something that just didn't gel for me. Dante's character seemed far more appealing in the first book than in his own story. Jamie, the female lead, also seemed like a wannabe Taryn from the first book. I don't think that the characterisation in this book was developed at all well, with only the characters from the first book being the most entertaining. evidently I fear that if I hadn't read the first book I would of perhaps enjoyed this one even less. my advise would be to read the first book before this one! I think it would have been better if the author had done shaya and nick's story before this one so we could have been introduced to the female lead and her interactions with Dante. it would have provided more substance to their story. however, nick and shaya's story is next. there were still some good humour in the book, but again it wasn't as funny as the first. I would have loved to have seen more of the grandmother Greta as she is truly the star in these books for me. I will still persevere with this series as it has so much potential and the first book really was top class. i just hope that the next book is to the standard of the first. 3 stars.

🎢 Buckle up, folks! "Wicked Cravings" is like being on a roller coaster designed by a werewolf with a PhD in Emotional Whiplash. I went from giggling like a school kid at a candy store to sobbing uncontrollably—seriously, I think I cried enough to fill a small swimming pool. Let’s talk about Dante and Jamie. Dante, the brooding beta of the Phoenix Pack, is like the chocolate cake of werewolves: rich, irresistible, and definitely not just for special occasions. And Jamie? She’s the perfect frosting—sweet, a little nutty, and capable of making Dante’s heart race faster than a squirrel on espresso. I absolutely loved their dynamic! You know it’s a good book when you find yourself rooting for a fictional couple so hard that your friends start to question your sanity. Now, Suzanne Wright knows how to write an erotic scene that’ll make you blush harder than a tomato at a tanning salon. If this book were a roller coaster, those scenes would be the steep drops that make your stomach do somersaults—delightful and a little terrifying! If Dante and Jamie’s chemistry were any more intense, I’d have to invest in fire extinguishers. And then there’s Dom—oh, Dom! He’s like the comedic relief in a horror movie, cracking jokes that are so bad they could make a vampire facepalm. His lame jokes had me bending over in fits of laughter. I might have even snorted like a pig at one point—definitely not my finest moment, but hey, it’s all in the name of entertainment! I can’t wait to dive into book 3 because honestly, I need more of these characters in my life. Dante’s devotion to Jamie is as heartwarming as a puppy cuddling a kitten. If love could be bottled, it would be labeled “Dante,” with a warning: may cause excessive swooning and possible heart palpitations. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a book that’ll take you on a wild emotional ride, make you laugh, cry, and possibly snort your drink out your nose, then "Wicked Cravings" is your ticket! I’m officially a Suzanne Wright fangirl, and I’m ready for more werewolf shenanigans! 🐺❤️

I really got emotional reading this book. I cried when Dante expressed his love to Jamie. Oh God, can I say that it's even more beautiful and overwhelming than Trey's and Taryn's story. I can't wait for Shaya's book.

If you read book one...you have to read this one. If you have not read book one...Drop what you are doing and go read it! Suzanne Wright is an amazing author. She gives just the right balance of suspense, love, humor and hot steamy sex. Emphasis on the hot steamy sex. This book had so many great quotes I think I wore out my highlighter on my Kindle. Jaime is a wolf shifter who is part of the Phoenix pack. She has a secret that only she and her brother know. She is damaged. She knows that someday soon she will have to leave the pack to spare them from her mess of a life but until then, she stays for her brother. And for Dante. Even though Dante wouldn't giver her the time of day. Dante is the Beta male. His job is to look over the pack and make sure that there are no problems. Glory, a female from another pack has "claimed" that he is her one true mate. Dante had a brief fling with her and now he is regretting that decision. Jaime has been hinting at her interest in Dante for months. He is not interested in her. He partially bonded with a female years ago and it did not end well. Dante has given up on ever finding his one true matte. He has decided to never again allow himself to open up to another female, even if she happens to be his true mate. One day Jaime decides enough is enough and she gives up on Dante. The results are not what she expected. This book is an action packed thrill ride full of possessive Alpha males and stubborn loyal women. I loved every second of it! Seriously, if you haven't read this series...go do it now!
