This is the second electric lighter I buy. I'm outfitting a daypack and assembling the necessary gear to mirror my deep hiking backpack. I've found that electric lighters are more dependable than the "Bic" lighters as they don't blow out with wind, work in wet conditions, and you don't have to worry about them being warm since the flame ones have a lot of trouble lighting when its near freezing. My other Plasma works great so I went to this company to buy it as this model is sold by several Chinese companies. The quality is good. It's robust and comes fully charged. I like the little gooseneck on this one so you can get it deep into the tinder bundle which makes lighting more dependable. I foresee no issues with this one and is EXACLY the same as the other one I have except for the extendable gooseneck. Good value, great technology. Keep your other lighter as a backup, but you'll find these are exceptional. Just make sure they are charged before you go out, but they don't discharge over time from what I can tell, but it's always good practice.

Super handy!! Hold a long charge, great flash light!! It still works and its been through the washer and dryer at least 5 times, not on puroose , forgot to remove it from my pocket🤪

This is a very cool little gadget. It's light-weight, thin, sturdy, and versatile. The lid locks in place well, so it won't open in the pocket. I like the expandable, bendable neck - good for reaching tinder in a campfire and the occasional candle for the wife. It's not a dual arc lighter, but works just fine. It has a level indicator, so I know how charged it is. It charges fairly quickly with the decent, included cord and gives plenty of lights before needing a recharge. I like that it has a built-in flashlight with a decently-bright light (not sure of the lumens) - not some ultra-torch, but bright enough to light up the immediate area. I always carry a few sources of fire when I backpack. This is a nice addition to my EDC. I highly recommend it!

Excellent emergency lighter and flashlight

I’ve been using this rechargeable lighter for about a year now, and it’s still going strong. It’s become a regular part of my gear, and the added flashlight feature has been surprisingly handy. As a Scoutmaster, I love that I can start a fire and light my way with the same tool—simple, efficient, and dependable. The lighter holds a charge well and has stood up to real, consistent use. My only suggestion would be a way to prevent the flashlight from turning on accidentally in your pocket. A couple of times I pulled it out only to find the battery drained because the light had switched on without me noticing. Even with that small quirk, this thing has earned its five stars. Durable, practical, and genuinely useful in the field.

We gave this as a birthday gift. It was probably lighted a couple hundred times in the first two days - it was tested on everything imaginable, including a gummy worm. The extension is a very nice feature. The flashlight is pretty bright. FYI, the bubble package from Amazon smells like birthday candles after they get blown out. If you try to blow out the plasma arc it smells like electricity but it stays lit even if you blow as hard as you can. I think I got promoted to the best brother-in-law ever.

I like it. Affordable, works as advertised, sturdy. I like the security of the locking case.

Charge doesn't last long at all. Not ment to light anything like a pot pipe cuz its an electric ark not fire! Trust me u will electrocute your lip or finger if touched... smh! Not life threatening but it doesn't leave a good feeling... the cigarette or whatever your lighting has to be directly on the ark or it won't catch. Good in the wind though..
