Works very well!
Bought for an elderly family member with dementia. She can't walk, but she likes to stand up and try it the second a caregiver turns their back. Sometimes she pretends to sleep so the other person leaves the room. Luckily, the other person hears the alarm go off, and run back. This model is a bit more expensive than others out there, but it's great, and comes from the manufacturer. This is important, because the pads themselves only last 15 months or so with continuous use. This is because their batteries cannot be recharged. After that, you need replacement pads.Still, totally worth it.

Great caregiver's helper
I have only been using the bed and the chair alarm for 4 days and on the first day was so glad I got it. This works great to monitor someone that is not to be getting up on their own. It was quick and easy to set up and lets me know when my 97 year old mother is trying to get out of bed or up off of her chair. I can be in another room and not feel like I have to keep running back and forth to check on her all of the time. Sometimes the alarm goes off when she is just restless and moving around in bed, but that lets me know I need to check on her, rather than how I used to get up several times nightly to check on her. I am actually able to sleep better at night knowing the alarm will alert me instead of feeling like I need to get up every time I think I hear a noise which may not even be her. Just the fact that I am now getting a more restful night's sleep has made this worth every penny.

Works good, but not an extended life product
The pads that goes on the bed or chair have a permanently installed battery in them. This is what powers the sensor and the broadcasting of the signal to the receiver. This is great, but there is no way of replacing that battery. The expectation is that you will buy another one when the battery is dead. The receiver has replaceable batteries.

Decent quality for the price.
Does the job well. Bought for my father-in-law who has dementia. It'll go off if he shifts his to get comfortable. Still, I'd rather have false alarms than a fall but it is difficult to rest of dad is restless.Volume has 3 settings: high, low, and vibrate only which is handy... But it IS a bit annoying to have to reset the volume preference every time you turn the power off.The pairing process is really straightforward and easy. There are other better products on the market, but the price for the quality of this really can't be beaten. For basic, in-home use you won't do much better.
