This one is more expensive than other 'no-name' brands, but for us it was totally worth it. The previous one we tried was half the price, but the timer was ridiculously loud and obnoxious. It also had a setting so it would beep for 30 seconds and for which you could crank the volume, which the kids always turned on to annoy me. The Time Timer is great because there is only one setting - it goes off for a few seconds and is not annoyingly loud. The clock/dial part also feels better quality and that it might last longer than our previous one. It is completely silent until the timer goes off, too. We purchased this one in 'pink' but be advised that it is more of a peachy colour, and the visual timer part is not red, it is a darker peachy colour. We use it for homeschooling and we love it so far. I'm glad we splurged on the Time Timer instead of another knock-off.

Works as intended, feels good - slightly overpriced.

As someone with ADHD, I use this timer for everything! To stay on task when using the pomodoro method, to track the passing of time, and to keep track of blocked out times for my structured days. This timer makes time tangible and at a result makes me feel in control. It also improves how calm I feel because I have a better grasp on the passage of time, so I'm less late to things and have been better at task management.
