I picked up the Elite Gourmet ECT1027B Cool Touch Toaster to replace an older unit, and overall it’s been a solid, no-nonsense kitchen helper with a few nice touches. Performance & Toast Quality: The six temperature settings give you good control over how light or dark you want your toast. Whether I’m just crisping up bread for breakfast or doing a slightly darker toast for sandwiches, it hits the setting I dial in quite reliably. The extra-wide 1.25″ slots are great — they fit thicker slices like artisan bread, bagels, and even small buns without having to force them in. It’s not a luxury toaster, but for daily use it consistently produces evenly browned slices. I haven’t noticed any hot spots where one side burns before the other. Design & Use: The cool-touch exterior is a nice safety feature, especially if you’ve ever worried about accidentally brushing a hot surface. The controls are simple and intuitive — just the toast lever and dial, with no confusing buttons. Cleanup is easy too; the removable crumb tray slides out smoothly and catches bits so they don’t burn or fall onto the counter. A couple of small downsides: It’s not the fastest toaster I’ve used — on higher browning settings it takes a little longer than premium models. But the results are steady, so it’s a trade-off I’m okay with. The pop-up action is firm but not especially springy, so you might have to double-check that your toast fully popped up before grabbing it. Overall: The Elite Gourmet ECT1027B does exactly what you want a basic toaster to do: it toasts evenly, handles wider bread well, and feels safer to use around kids or in busy kitchens thanks to the cool-touch design. If you want a straightforward, affordable toaster without extra bells and whistles, this one gets the job done reliably.

Very basic little toaster. Does not toast evenly but we're not that fussy. We just wanted something to toast bread. We just got black to match the other appliances so color is good. Speed of toasting is normal. It looks sleek and smaller so doesn't take up a lot of space on the counter. Nice long cord. Sturdiness seems to be average. The biggest plus is its value. No fancy bells & whistles. After reading one review, I used a white paint pen and highlighted the indentation on the dial so we can see what the setting is. One other thing... regular Aunt Millie's Lite bread seems to be too tall bot once again, we're not stressing about it. If all you want is toast, this is a good choice.

VALUE TOASTER. If you’re looking for the bang for your buck, this is it. It’s simple and does the job. Quick and easy, love it!

I gave this toaster three stars because I consider it average. It does toast somewhat evenly. And it looks somewhat attractive. So I’m assuming most toasters do this making this one average. My complaints with this toaster include that I find the bread slots, which looked pretty wide, not to be wide enough for my sliced bagels. When I lower the lever that starts the toaster, I have to push the bagels down into the toaster by hand. And my bagels, which are a regular size, do not go entirely down into the toaster. The other complaint is that the toaster is extremely light weight. While this may be a bonus for some people, I find it makes pressing the cancel button a two handed operation. That is, if you press the cancel button with one hand, you push the entire toaster around without ever canceling the operation. So, it’s an average toaster. Apparently to get a truly fully functional bread toaster, you have to pay over $100 which I find utterly ridiculous.

I love this toaster. I've had it for a few months now and it works great. Nice wide slots for bagels and very easy to clean. Love that it has a digital display telling you how much time is left. The crumb tray is great and keeps crumbs from spilling out even when it's constantly being moved around by kids.

Cute little toaster. About half the size of my last toaster. Big enough for bread, English muffins, anything you want to toast.

Everything "was" good came on time, didn't take up a lot of space. good price BUT when I "tried" to toast the standard size bread the bread WON'T FIT! :( :( it seems like the ONLY THING you CAN TOAST IS BAGELS, ENGLISH MUFFINS ETC. (HUH) it's wide enough for those types of items to fit all but bread it's NOT LONG ENOUGH! ALL IN ALL it browns good, works good, control buttons are easy to use & understand. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS I CAN'T TOAST BREAD!!! I have to use my toaster oven for that which IS why I got a toaster in the first place (huh)

No more wasting time with those 2 or 4 short slice toasters! So versatile! When you have l9ng slice , they fit. Short slices? They fit! Has a defrost and warmer . Looks great , and works great! So glad 8 chose this toaster!

My current toaster was all metal, heavy and bulky. I wanted something smaller. This toaster is great. It is plastic, very light, about half the width and toasts perfectly. The crumb tray slides out easily. I can store it in a cupboard with no problem. I am very happy with my purchase.
