Very sturdy for a compostable trash bag. Not inexpensive but I'm willing to pay so as not to add more plastic to the landfills

I know trash bags aren't something to review but these are amazing. They are well made and seem stronger, if possible, than other trash bags. The reason I bought them is that they are compostable of course, but was surprised at how much I like them. Will continue buying them.

Very doable and strong after you put your food scraps, and also easy to tie up . it’s worth some money to buy.

I’ve used several large compostable bags. The quality of the bag is typical: holds up fairly well but can easily tear if you try to put too much in. The ties are functionally very useful, if you have been using compostable bags without them I highly recommend switching over. It makes removing the bag and closing it up so much easier.

I have tried many comparable eco friendly trash bags, and these ones are the best. Never rip, love the ties, robust enough to handle our trash. Will repurchase for sure.

June 2024 Update... The first ones that I received were great (original review below). The follow-on bags were too tight to fit my can. If I stretched them any at all, they would tear along the seams. Perhaps the company needs to work through some quality control issues to make sure ALL the bags are the proper size. I was hoping that it might only be a problem with one box of bags. Unfortunately that was not the case and I have had repetitive problems with the bags tearing. Also, when they are stretched any at all, the drawstring usually pulls apart. When you factor the higher price of the bags plus the destroyed ones, it makes them too costly. They fit my kitchen trash can perfectly ... not too tight or too loose. I don't love that you have to tear them at a perforation, along the side, to remove them from the roll. But I can live with that. Had one bag leak some fluid, but I've had the same issue with other U.S. brand name trash bags, so I'd say they are comparable in terms of strength and durability. I wish they were less expensive and at similar cost to plastic bags. They feel and behave like plastic kitchen bags; hopefully they are better for the environment.

We had our doubts as to these compostable trash bags were strong enough to hold ten gallons of material. They exceeded our expectations. Strong, heavy duty, and as thick as the plastic bags they replaced. Great choice.

I like the concept of these biodegradable bags but these rip and tear easily. I’m looking for an alternative.

These bags are better quality. The bags I had were very thin and often ripped, making a mess.

Size is needed for compost bin

They're too small for our green bins. They fall in and can’t really act as a liner if you need to reach in the bin to open the bag each time.
