Excellent value, which is why I am reviewing at four stars, though I cannot live with the foot buttons controlling bass drum and high hat. I am replacing them soon because the bass misfires, and more, and that is why the star got knocked off. This features computer control and offers a wide range of great sounds. You can adjust sounds to a degree, yet the primary settings are more than adequate unless you need different sounds. You have an AC connection (rather than bulky and costly batteries or a battery pack), and the USB and MIDI make these compatible with other devices, such as a computer and a controller. This box contains a low-profile electronic drum set with the functions of cymbals, snare, and toms. The sound produced is excellent with the “cymbals” in logical positions in relation to the “toms”. Not perfect, but you will get the hang of it. These are well-made and will last quite a while. I bought a beater pedal for 3/4 of a hundred. I’m not sure if I will replace the high-hat pedal, but it is an excellent idea. Compared to cost-effective models, modifying this one is the best idea due to the superior function of this musical instrument. This is an exceptional product for something super-lightweight that some people think of as a student kit. I am planning to transport it to the holiday celebration this November to accompany my husband’s guitar playing. The drum throne is excellent; it is so comfy! I weigh 243 pounds. This is a heavy-duty seat, and I will gladly recommend this whole setup over all the others I have researched! Your budding drummer, like me, will enjoy experimenting with a drum set that mimics the real thing so well that there is no need to spend more than a thousand dollars for a full-featured electronic drum set if you need a tabletop one of this quality. You can fit this drum set on a heavy-duty TV tray, or you can use a drum stand and create a makeshift setup. This is an excellent DIY setup. You can view many reviews on YouTube that will give you more info. This is it, and I will return to it when it becomes old, or get something quite similar. This is highly playable, looks beautiful, and has EZ assembly. This is fun to play! This is an excellent gift. I recommend Amazon’s gift service for this set, as well as the extras I mentioned, at a total cost of $75-200 for decent quality. ------ UPDATE: We replaced the drum kick switch with a velocity-sensitive drum kick trigger with a regular drum-kick pedal. It was a few dollars over $100. All sounds fantastic! Look for the only one under $100. We adjusted the cymbals, and they are now more sensitive and true-to-life, albeit with a few limitations due to the nature of this instrument. ------ Enjoy!

My whole life (well, up until 32) I was an air drummer, constantly tapping on things. Then a year ago I purchased this for myself, and it’s one of my most favorite purchases. I use it every single day, and I really feel like it has helped me grasp drumming concepts and skills. It’s very fun to play, sounds incredible, and I love how you can connect your phone so you can play along to drum less tracks on YouTube. Love the customizable features. It’s very durable, and the sensitivity of the pads feel very accurate. It’s very compact. I currently keep mine out on a snare stand because it’s so small, but the carrying case would make it very easy to store if needed. Simple setup. After I had played with this thing for 6 months, I found myself in a Guitar Center, and floated over to the drum section, curious if the skills I learned on this portable machine would translate to a full size drum set - and they did. Felt very satisfying and encouraging to know that the work I put into the portable drum set translates to full size. I want to also give a shoutout to the Lekato customer service team. I have no doubt that if you run into any issues or concerns, they will assist you in any way you can. I would put this set as one of my top 5 purchases of all time. That’s how much I love this thing.

I’m a pro drummer and I have LOTS of edrum experience. I’ve owned gear from all the major brands and am well used to tweaking settings etc. I was intrigued by the tiny footprint and affordable price so I decided to pull the trigger ( 😉 ) on this setup. First of all, it seems surprisingly sturdy. I love the mesh head snare (it was tight and responsive right out of the box). The rubber toms are ok, and the little cymbal pads are, well, LITTLE. The pedals aren’t great (more on that later). One recommendation on the kit build: there’s a 4th mounting hole for the cymbal mounts, with a little plastic plug blocking it. Could that piece be hollow so it would become a drum key holder?!? That would be easy and cool! Performance: With zero edits, everything played as intended and worked pretty well. The factory sounds aren’t bad! And the preset kits are pretty good right out of the chute. If you just wanna play drums and not read the manual, it’s fairly satisfying. I found there to be some crosstalk, and the trigger settings were easy to use to solve this issue satisfactorily. One somewhat disappointing triggering issue I discovered: when playing around the drum set quickly, hitting a tom and then immediately playing the snare doesn’t work. It’s as if the snare has a half-second “masking” feature to avoid false triggering. Moving between toms quickly totally works. But not tom-to-snare. This was the only triggering problem I found. Lekato, is there a software update possibility for this one odd flaw? The cymbal pads are IMO a little too small. And it’s really easy to accidentally hit the round fastening nut on top instead of the pad itself. I wish the pads were taller so that the mounting nut would be below the playing surface. And I wish they were a couple inches wider. But they do work! I find that assigning one to a cowbell feels really natural due to the width. I also wish the mounting arms were a few inches longer. The hihat height works great, and the ride height is ok. But I want the crash a lot higher! I may fabricate my own. I also wonder if there might be some way to get the crash to be chokeable in future versions. Lekato, whattaya say?! Even a pushbutton “kill switch” on the metal kit chassis would be cool! Mounting the kit on a snare stand is easy. I used a snare basket top section on a cymbal stand tripod so that the leg spread is much larger and it is SOLID. Great feel overall. Pedals: well, to start, they’re well-built and seem quite sturdy. The Hihat switch pedal works ok. I don’t love it, but it’s functional. But the BD switch just barely works. It’s by far the weak link here. No dynamics, feels unnatural, and triggering is a little spotty. You’ll definitely need something else for serious play. I plugged in a Roland KD7 and it just WORKS. No trigger setting changes needed- it just immediately was what I wanted. So overall, the kit does what they say it will do, and seems very well built. BUT… Just for fun, I bypassed the factory module altogether and plugged the pads into my top-end Yamaha DTX-ProX. And NOW WE’RE TALKIN’! The DTX trigger settings and crosstalk controls are extremely robust. And the sounds and control etc etc etc are off the charts. Add a Yamaha Hihat pedal and you have a SERIOUS kit that sounds 100% pro, in the tiniest footprint possible. For even more realism I have set up 3 small Yamaha cymbal pads so I can have crash chokes, ride bell, and Hihat edge options. Now the little Lekato pads are set to play cross-stick, splash, and cowbell. It’s still a tiny footprint and is a PRO kit sound! I realize this isn’t what they intended, but if any gigging drummers are reading this- this kit can be a cool centerpiece for a very functional tiny e-drum setup! I really dig this little kit, and will gig with it (and report) soon. I would give it 5 stars if the snare trigger issue were solved and if the BD pedal were to be improved in some way. 👍🏽

IF YOU GET THIS GET THE FULL SIZE PEDALS IT IS NIGHT AND DAY AND NO NOISE I PLAY FOR HOURS IN MY APARTMENT . I purchased this jan 11th i believe and by today feb 3rd it was falling apart and i was not even laying it hard . yes I put in over 90 hours . The problems were the bass pedal was over active 1 kick became 2 or 3 and you could not play a song . then it started cutting out from the external speaker . then the rubber grommets on the symbols that are rectangle silicone hard pads fell off . Today I received a replacement and I was so impressed that they did and exchange with out me having to ship the old 1 back then repurchase it again . It arrived and I played billy jean , hail to the king , she's an easy lover , bon jovi and AC DC and it was so clean I am so happy this kit works properly ... I just hope it lasts longer than 1 month with no more issues like the previous .. In closing this is a great little set and sounds amazing on my bose headphones or my portable speaker . I pop on you tube and play along to sheet music sometimes up to 6 hrs a day . I love that this gives me the freedom and ability to play in an apartment without pissing off my neighbors .. I would definitely recommend this and it is 1000x better than the bluetooth stix that facebook is advertising now , as you cant do a drum roll or practice like paradiddles etc. on the LEKATO you can the 8" snare is very responsive and so are the toms . If I could change a few things it would be make slightly bigger symbols /and make them round small still so you can play 32nd notes easier and make them 2x more sturdy . Lastly on the bass pedal on regular drum kits now they have a toggle switch on the side to go from single to double bass and still use the high hats . Well if the company made this for the electronic pedal they would make a lot of money being the 1rst and it would be nice to have something so small be capable of so much .. I even sent this suggestion to the company in the 11 days they were supposed to send me a new bass pedal but still waiting for a response . Due to the fact on the 11th of this month i would not have been able to return / exchange it I went with that and am so happy and enjoy playing so much .. Thank you for making this better than a kids toy !!!

Nice kit. Versatile and quick to setup on the go. I got the large for switches which I believe work better than the smaller ones. I didn't have too much of a problem with these. Though I preferred changing out the foot switches to a Yamaha and now trying out the Alesis foot switches just to keep the feel more real. Overall, the Lekato works well and with the presets and samples it provides. They provide a nice realistic feel to the kit. Good strike response rate and accurate sounds from the module. I highly recommend for practicing in a quiet space when you wanna hear some noise of a kit using drums sticks to strike something solid the resembles a tom, cymbal, hi-hat or snare with foot action feel resembling an actual kit. The mesh and rubber pads give a nice feel to them. For the price its and give away. A very nice alternative for night playing. A+ because of its portability without sacrificing kit sound quality.

This kit is sturdy, very responsive and incredibly portable. I highly recommend this for a travel kit for any level or as a great starter kit before you decide to invest in a whole drum set. I would recommend you buy a snare stand with it - make sure it supports up to 14" diameter. I have seen some bad reviews about the kick drum switch - but I have found it to be pretty responsive - it just takes a little practice. And keep in mind, you have an output available to add your own pedal and switch if you desire. The high hat pedal works just fine. This kit is very easy to customize - each drum, pedal or cymbal can be voiced and volumed to your choice of play style. Headphone jack works well - make sure you have a long enough wire so it is not in your way while drumming. The kit sounds good with my Fender Amp. Lastly the feel of the drums and the cymbals are very nice. The snare is especially responsive. It is pretty quiet in headphone mode as to not disturb the neighbors. Great buy.

Good variety of sounds. Decent selection of pre loaded tracks to play along with. Easy to set up. Very compact. Works very well. Easy to get a drumming fix without having to store a full kit. Looks like it would be good for laying down tracks if you're into hobby recording. Coach mode is meh but it should make you a better drummer if you put in the work. Id recommend this for anyone wanting to try/learn drumming but isn't sure about diving into the whole rabbit hole of drum kits and drum kit accessories. Headphones are a plus for napping babies or cranky neighbors on the other side of a thin wall. Sounds great through my el cheapo keyboard amplifier as well. Small footprint for tiny spaces. All around it's exactly what I was looking for. Feels pretty good. It's not on par with skins or intermediate to high end mesh electronic heads but for what it is, it's pretty good. It is a lot of fun and it's a great place to start for a beginner. 14" snare stand holds it well. Get you a drum throne and some better sticks and your on your way. It would be fine to set on an ottoman or a short table and a taller chair. The foot pedals are remarkably good for switches. Very responsive and they feel accurate. It's been 20 years since I played with iron Cobra double bass pedals but these are certainly functional until you have an idea of what you want to upgrade to if you or your little drummer stick with it. This would be a very portable kit WITH volume control to bring to an open mic or small venue. Might be a good addition to a small venue setup if you're a host MC looking to cater to percussionists? I got this one to get my blue moon fix for drums and I figured it would be a good place to start if I can get my little into making/learning music with me. He likes making noise. His rhythm needs some work ;) This feels durable enough that it should survive toddlerhood. I opted for this one because of the raised hi-hat and ride. I like that they are in a more natural position than other similar kits and very adjustable. The smaller drum heads should make for more accurate strikes. I cannot do rim shots on this and I don't think brushes would work very well but unless you need that this is everything you need and nothing that you don't. At least to start.

I think this thing is a good value. You can get them from a few brands. The cymbals and snare have two zone connections. The cymbals are only using a single zone and do not have choke, however, the module supports choke. I checked this by swapping an Alesis cymbal with choke and the choked and zone worked as expected. That will probably be useful for someone. A person could make some new cymbal arms that extend back a little father and use some inexpensive used 10" cymbals with choke. The pedals are switch type so completely useless. I'm actually swapping the module for an Alesis Nitro Pro I had lying around so will be picking up better hihat pedal support. An eDRUMin would probably be interesting on this device.
