Bought this to help with a few little woodworking projects and box making where a hammer and nails isn't practical for a quick build.Had it jam on the 3rd nail and stopped using the nails provided and since then haven't had any issues and must of used 200 nails now so may of just been something wrong with the nail strip.Few user errors with providing too much pressure on the tip and embedding the nail and sometimes not pressing enough to make the nail stick out a little and needs hammering in so would recommend having a few scrap pieces of same thickness of wood to test on before using on your projects.It comes with 3 strips of staples and 1 of nails, I haven't used the staples yet and can't comment but the nails provided don't seem very good so buy some others when you buy the tool. I bought a pack of the tacwise in 25mm and they have been great.Overall for the price I can't complain at all and its been a breeze to use, never used any other nail guns before so have no reference points on its ability but I highly recommend if you want to try one on a budget.

So far, so goodBought this with ‘Tacwise 0362 Type 180/30 mm Galvanised 18G Brad Nails, Pack of 1,000, Silver, 30 mm’Tacking softwood batons to 20mm hardwood ply board, the nails penetrate almost all of the way bar the last 1 -2mm. I suspect that if using softwood to softwood they will penetrate all the way. But hey ho!, these are saving me so much time compared to hammering in 30mm panel pins without bending them.With these I just finish off the last 1-2 mm or so with a couple of taps with a hammer.I took a punt with this at £37.99 as it was taking all of my time to hammer the batons in. It seems that there is a large price gap between the ‘ generic’ nail guns and the branded ones. This was at the top of the ‘generic’ price range and it paid off.Time will tell to see if it lasts. But so far it’s doing the job well for me.

Worth the value

I used this tool to help me when fitting new stair rails and spindles. Easy to load and use, great for pinning spacers between spindles. Quick and easy to use. Also used for pinning plyboard to joist as a covering.

The third time of using this it jammed up so had to take to pieces to get the bent staple out then it decided to jam a further 5 times taking over an hour of time to sort then I gave up on it and threw it in the skip waste of money
