Which size is suitable for the luggage strap ?

I don't think the size matters as it is adjustable. I actually used it to join 2 different sizes of luggage and it worked great.

Do you leave it on luggage as you check it in?

No, checked luggage has to be weighed individually. In addition The straps were not very sturdy. My husband added additional Velcro and the suitcases separated before we even reach the ticket counter. I would not recommend!

How many suitcases does the normal strap hild?

They can connect up to 3 bags but despite several tries and different configurations (2 - 25” and 1 -16” bags), I threw them out (too late to return). They are an epic disaster to use. The bags do not stay upright but tip over like dominoes. IF you had a strap to wrap around ALL the bags, they might work.

What's the difference between large and xlarge?

The size difference is the length of the straps. The large size allows for bigger bags to be strapped together. These strap were a lifesaver on our trip to Europe.
