Lenovo smart clock charger
Been looking for a replacement charger for ages as had 2 clocks with broken ones. No help from Lenovo or curry’s so was so pleased when I found this one. Bought one to try and worked so ordered a second one .

This Power Supply works well and seems to be well manufactured
I believe this item to be a very good for the Lenovo clock and indeed for any item which requires: 1) 12v DC and up to 1.5A & 2) has a socket which needs a 4.0mm 1.7m jack. This Switch Mode supply is robustly designed and not flimsy like some other chargers. As well as testing it for it's designed purpose, like all other supplies I have bought, I tested the output on my 'electronic load' and confirm that it is clearly capable of delivering the stated voltage & current. (it held a steady 11.9V at 1.4 Amps and ran cool - I never test up to the absolute maximum in case I accidentally exceed the current rating and blow them up!). The only thing which puzzled me a bit was the obliteration of the Lenovo logo on the bottom part of the supply. Perhaps the logo was badly printed as the full Lenovo brand name and address is clearly marked on the top part of the supply? In an any event, I consider this a genuine, good quality, Lenovo product.

Good PSU
Yes, it's a good 12V supply if you have something with a 4mm socket that wants up to 1.5A and stays steady and cool in use.I also have no idea why the Lenovo logo is painted over - trade mark issues for a product that is not actually made by them? (There's an Lenovo EU address, but that's not going to be a registered trade mark anywhere!) Or is it made by the same factory as the original, just not sold by Lenovo? It certainly doesn't seem to be a reject. If you are going to remove the 4mm plug to get to the bare metal wires, then inside the flex, a central plastic covered 12V wire is surrounded by the 0V wiring.
