Since posting it I have discovered that the crashing / restarting issues I was having were caused by the power supply to the Pi not proving sufficient power. Once it had been changed, everything was fine. To add to the review, this adapter gives a good clean output with no ghosting or blurred imaging. Whether connected to an older television or computer monitor, the output is clear and sharp, almost indistinguishable from HDMI-only image quality. Definitely worth the money. ------- Only used this for a short while, but it works perfectly for connecting a Raspberry Pi to an older VGA monitor. HOWEVER, as soon as I try to use the Pi with this adapter AND a wifi dongle, the Pi crashes. There is no crash when either this or the wifi dongle are used alone. Review: One Star - Blew up the Pi 2 do NOT buy it!

I've had a couple of these only one of which worked. Buy the VicTop one instead.

Great value and works with Raspberry Pi model 2 (latest version)
Well packaged, works ok on Raspberry Pi2 with dell 17" monitor. Contrast not as good as with HDMI through a HDMI screen, but does the job.

Great delivery, great product.
Works great, as advertised. The material is nice to the touch, came protected in a plastic film. No problems with the connector, fits the existing ones like a glove.
