The back hanging panels are hard plastic. For the money I was expecting metal. Will update later as this product is being used outdoors in a cabinet.

Wasn’t so sure how this would be with the mixed reviews and also being an all plastic product. Since it was the size and color I needed I ordered it and glad I did. They easily screw in to the studs and all 3 pieces fit perfect doing so. I had no trouble at all with the pegs and find them to be sturdy. You may have to back the peg out a little to pop the bottom piece in but pretty simple. I already had some previous metal pegboard hooks and pieces and they fit this fine. Will probably order again for another area in my garage.
