Does the job.....but
This works perfectly.....except for one curious thing. I suffer from part-time insomnia. I like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts at night using a pillow speaker. I usually set the timer on the software to cut off after fifteen minutes as with luck I'll have drifted off to sleep by then. However, when I. use this device, a most curious thing happens. The recording will shut off after fifteen minutes, BUT, after about a minute, it re-starts again. This means that your audiobook can be quietly reading to itself all night meaning that you'll have lost your place.

Great for phones with no headphone jack.
Just what I needed to be able to listen to music on my phone (phone had no headphone jack). Easy to use, and good quality. Connects well and doesn't negatively impact sound.

It works perfectly I have expensive ear phones and required the USB c to 3.5mm adapter it does what it's designed to do

Solid connections. Braided insulation.
Connections are solid both plugging USB-C into socket and when connecting audio jack. Braided cable decresases chance of insulation splitting. No hint of dropping connection through looseness. This will reliably connect a smart phone (or similar device) that doesn't have an audio jack to audio devices like headphones or amplifiers.

Useful and convenient
Posting a review for this simple product, as it's lasting well, whereas one I bought from another brand soon broke. Useful for those of us who like wired 'phones, and who have mobile devices without an audio jack.

Don't work well with iPhone's mic for calls.
works fine with iPhone and my Sennheiser headphones (with no mic) for listening to music, however, the phone's microphone is disabled for calls. So I have to unplug headphones to use phone. When set as headphone accessory you can hear calls but caller cannot hear me, when set as 'other' USB accessory, you cannot hear the caller through headphones, only through phone speaker and you can be heard through phone mic.
