Has been amazing to use
As a gamer, but also a casual user, I don’t want a keyboard that has 0.00001ms response time and 0.0001mm of actuation; I want something that’s useable. I want something that I can play games on, as well as actually use my PC as a computer without having to switch keyboards or make a million typos. This keyboard does all of that. Everything about this keyboard is perfect. There are so many little things that are so well thought out it just amazes me how other brands don’t do this. For $159, this keyboard is on the pricy side, but in my opinion it is well worth it. I’ve had maybe 10 gaming keyboards in the past 2 years, and let’s just say that I’ve done my fair share of returns. But this keyboard I’ve kept. Some things I like about this keyboard are: - it sounds nice and not cheap at all - the keycaps feel nice to type on and they don’t wear out, and the font is very readable and the RGB shines through nicely - how lighting profiles are also ON-BOARD PROFILES (aka, whenever you switch to use the keyboard with another device, it’ll save the last used lighting preset. Random tangent but I don’t know why more companies won’t do this with their keyboards, it’s not that hard, and in my opinion, that’s how keyboards should be! - the controls are easy to learn - the size is compact (maybe 1/2 an inch wider than a standard TKL keyboard) - the lighting effects are pretty, vibrant, bright, as well as being very customizable - the wireless and battery life both work great (I use my keyboard wired anyways) - easy to type on if you’re used to mechanical keyboards. If you’re used to something else, such as a laptop keyboard, it’ll take some getting used to as is with any mechanical keyboard There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this keyboard. Everything is just there, and everything works great!

Excellent Keyboard! Very high quality and attention to detail!
I wanted a keyboard that had BT, RF and wired connectivity, and backlight with long battery life. on paper this keyboard met that criteria. I had a Logitech G515 and was not impressed on first opening. it had a laughable battery life, and you cannot change anything (lights, etc) without logitechs software, and you can't read the keys without the light on! Coming from the logitech, when i opened the package of the Asus ROG Strix Scope II keyboard, my only words were WOW! Packaging was excellent and top notch, the keyboard was firm, keys sounded great and the lighting is amazing! It is also a fully size keyboard (keys) in a 96% footprint! The sound of the keys are muffled but very pleasant and great feel. the function combination of the keys is very easy and the keys are very easy to read. (Even with the LEDs off! lol) You can easily change the colors and functions on this keyboard without the software which is exactly what i was looking for. if you use the software you can do even more! All around this keyboard is fantastic, and it puts the logitech keyboard to shame at about the same price. Too soon to tell on the battery life but on paper it is 1500 hours. (the logitech is 36! lmao) I am very happy I got this keyboard and highly recommend this keyboard if you are considering a wireless option for games or office!

Great product. Definitely worth the money
I’ve been using the ROG Strix Scope II 96 for a couple weeks now, and it’s quickly become my favorite keyboard. The 96% layout is perfect — you get the number pad, arrow keys, and function row without taking up too much desk space. It’s a great balance between compact and functional. The stock switches (I'm using the NX Snow) feel super smooth and sound great right out of the box. They’re pre-lubed and honestly feel better than some higher-end customs I’ve tried. The stabilizers are also really well done — no rattling on the spacebar or enter key. Wireless connection has been rock solid via the dongle, and battery life has been surprisingly good even with the RGB on. You can also switch to Bluetooth or wired mode easily, which is super handy if you’re using it across multiple devices. Build quality feels premium — solid chassis, smooth keycaps, and nice weight to it. The sound-dampening foam inside really cuts down on ping and gives it a nice thocky sound profile. Only downside? The Armoury Crate software is kind of clunky, but once you set your lighting and macros, you don’t really need to touch it again. Highly recommend if you want a high-end gaming keyboard that’s compact, wireless, and ready to go out of the box. It’s not cheap, but you’re definitely getting what you pay for.

Best Features, Functionality, Size, and Look.
Tried it out and got stuck playing for 4 hours. The keys are lit up, easy to see, spread out just right, they have a really solid press to them. The size is perfect being 80% size with 100% Functionality. The legs are 2 sizes and the wrist wrest will hook You right away. It has a ton of extra Macros built in. It can control multiple screens at once. I was running Steam, Browsing, and YT Music. The Big Eye button on the corner lets u swap the roller to music, volume, or screen scroll. I used the USB plug in and it synced up right away with no Drivers needed. I would highly recommend and purchase again. It came in a sealed clean and safe box. It comes with a key puller, USB to Type-C cord, 2 extra key bottoms. Give yourself some time with it amd you will start noticing all the unique features that make it so awesome. If you choose to swap the space bar you have to be careful with the risers on the sides of the bottom of the space bar. They will come out with the bar if you don’t pull it off right. Of they do pop off, you can put them back inside the bar and push it down. They will click back in. I started with a 30$ MageGee 100% keypad, Then I UGd to a 60$ MSI keyboard. I had a hard time typing with the letters so close. They were both wired and the keys weren’t back lit. They were also 100% size with the number pads. I really liked having the keypads but wanted something shorter for more mouse room.

Review of the ROG Strix Scope 96 – 6 Months In
What I Love: I’ve been using the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Full Size since October/November 2024, and after six months, I can confidently say this keyboard is top tier in terms of build quality. Every keystroke feels super satisfying—the clickiness is just right, and I can actually feel the difference in pressure when gaming, which is a huge plus. It’s also my daily driver for work. The ability to seamlessly switch between Bluetooth and wired mode with the small toggle switch in the back is super convenient. Battery life? No complaints—easily lasts a full 8-hour workday without breaking a sweat. What I Dislike: If you’ve used any ASUS gear before, you already know the struggle that is Armoury Crate. It's honestly a bit of a nightmare. That said, I do appreciate that for this keyboard, ASUS offers just the AC module directly from their site—way better than having to deal with the full software suite. Overall Opinion: Despite the software headache, this keyboard delivers where it really matters. Solid build, amazing typing and gaming feel, great battery—would definitely recommend!

Strong offering, but still expensive.
I use this for gaming, and typing. Mechanical keyboards in general just feel good in a way mesh keyboards can't. For gaming, I think this form factor is ideal, keeping your mouse close enough that your arms aren't wide apart. For typing, tenkey is necessary for quick access to symbols and special characters. I've never his the arrow keys while entering values or codes, but your mileage my vary. The NX Snow switches are indeed thoccy, but if you're used to mesh or even older mechanical keyboards, the actuation strength is low enough to trigger keypresses while you idle over the keys. You can get used to this, unless you have a condition of the wrist. The switches are also not as distracting as clicky switches, but they're far from silent, if that's what you need. The switches can be replaced, though. The magnetic wrist rest and overall layout are excellent, Delete over Backspace is exactly where it should be, but having no clear gap to judge where backspace is means a touch typist needs to develop some new habits. Connectivity and battery life are impressive, you can practically forget it's wireless, and swapping between Bluetooth and 2.4ghz is quick and painless. Armoury Crate is, fine. Sometimes the Lighting Profile turns purple of the keyboard is on when my PC boots, but nothing deal-breaking. Is it worth 200 bucks? That depends. Keys being replaceable means if you like the form factor, this may be the last keyboard you get, just replacing switches as they go bad. But you can find a lot of these features in a plastic chasis 100 bucks cheaper.

Pricey but an excellent keyboard!
Couple of things with this keyboard. It's weighty, very solid. It is if you haven't noted a compact keyboard layout vs. the standard 101 layout. * This keyboard offers 3 connection schemes, Bluetooth, Proprietary Transceiver, and USB. Transceiver and USB cable included. * Nice magnetic wrist pad included. * The software Armoury Crate is useful but just slightly hokey at times. ** Lot's of configurability with the software although I'm still monitoring it because it seemed fairly heavy handed. * The multifunction wheel works very well.

Best keyboard on the market, hands down.
I rarely write any long reviews but this keyboard deserves a standing ovation! Initial Impressions: Upon unboxing the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II Keyboard, I was immediately struck by its sleek design and the quality of materials used. The keyboard feels substantial, and the matte finish combined with the striking RGB backlighting promised a blend of aesthetics and functionality. The setup was straightforward, connecting flawlessly to my gaming rig with minimal effort. Build Quality & Design: The durability of the Strix Scope II is evident from its solid aluminum frame which provides stability and a premium touch. The RGB lighting is brilliantly executed, offering a spectrum of colors that are both vibrant and customizable through an intuitive software interface. Key Performance: The mechanical switches under each key are a highlight, providing that perfect tactile feedback without the loud clicking noise often associated with gaming keyboards. This makes the keyboard suitable for both gaming marathons and quiet night sessions. Wireless Connectivity: The wireless functionality is flawless. You can choose between Bluetooth or a 2.4GHz wireless connection, and I’ve experienced no lag or disconnections during gameplay. Battery Life: Battery endurance is stellar. With extensive daily use, I find myself only needing to charge the keyboard infrequently, which is a significant improvement over other models I’ve used in the past. Extra Features: The inclusion of a Stealth key is ingenious, allowing for instant privacy and focus by hiding all apps and muting audio with a single press. The extended Ctrl key also proves to be extremely useful, enhancing comfort and functionality in games requiring extensive use of control commands. Final Thoughts: This keyboard exceeds expectations in every aspect, from its aesthetic design to its peerless performance. It's a perfect 5 out of 5 stars from me, for transforming my gaming and daily typing into a more delightful experience. Worth every penny!
