Decent unit with a fatal flaw
It seems to be effective and well-manufactured. But it does not automatically recover after power failure and continue dehumidification. So it can't be left unattended on site. I tried to download the smart home app and connected but I failed three times. Aside from the fact that the app wants privileges to everything and all I want to do is to see if there is a setting to make it recover after power failure. This should be an absolute basic function. Otherwise seems usable. I wish I had figured this out before the return window closed

Works great
I can't speak for others negative reviews... I have not had the issues they state. I have had this dehumidifier for over a year without issue. Does it's built for job great. We moved into a home where the seller failed to mention a hidden prior water leak (lawsuit settled it), but there was remnant moisture which this unit took care flawlessly. I was amazed at how much water this thing pulled out, one room alone was 2 GALLONS worth... That was not noticeable to the human eye or touch. After using this in living areas of our home, I decided to place it in our crawlspace as that is also another area of recommended use and to further protect our investment. The unit comes with a humidity sensor and as a backup I purchased a separate one to be aware of humidity levels to which I would rarely need to dehumidify the crawlspace. After some time, I began to notice differences in my 2 sensors causing me to investigate.. resulting in finding out this dehumidifier ended up with a leak in refrigerant. I contacted the seller and after some pleasant and yet obviously needed to verify information, seed max sent me a brand new unit at no cost to me. This customer service along with a great unit is the reason I give 5 stars.Things break, nothing is meant to last forever. This is a good company and great unit for anyone who needs a dehumidifier for commercial grade issues.

Hard reset?
Plugged into an outlet and no power, no sign of anything. I bought a few units but one seems to get to power. If there a hard reset???

Compact power
Was worried that unit would be a bit awkward to move but no issues at all. One person can lift and with pull handle and wheels no problem for anyone to move from children to senior. Is a bit loud for use all the time and kicks off quite a bit of heat. For that you get impressive power that lowers humidity fast. In 45 minutes it lowered by basement humidity by 20%.At $1000 is a bit pricey which is why I dropped to 4 stars. If you can get on sale would be great buy. As it is can be perfect if you need to get in tight spaces.

Works really well
Keep in mind this isn’t your ordinary dehumidifier for the card room although it could still be used there. This is more of a contractor series or somebody looking to mitigate moisture from a flood of sorts or water issue. Would be great to use in any room of a house or building. It would be perfect to get rid of a dampness from a leaky roof. Or as my unfinished basement gets really moist in the summer months, I have too many valuables down there, such as tool and personal belongings. I was surprised by how quickly this was able to remove the humidity from my basement and just removing the dampness in my basement now feels cool and dry and I don’t have that tacky sticky feeling every time I go in to the basement. The unit does have a little bit of weight to it, so I would almost consider a team left when going up or down the steps. It has a nice metal durable built handle to maneuver this around on the wheels that are fitted. It has some very nice features such as auto drain which of the unit comes with an extension tube as well so you could pipe the water that accumulates out of an attic window or into the basement sump pump or out a basement window. Also, a nice feature with an installed application on your smart phone and having the unit linked to your Wi-Fi net work or a Wi-Fi network in general, that you have permission to use, you can access all the settings of this dehumidifier from your phone, even though you’re not at its present location You can powered on powered off, change many settings, as well as drain the water tank in the dehumidifier even change the relative humidity of the room that this dehumidifier as you can see in my one picture it shows you the room temperature the current humidity level in and total run hours, which I decided to use this for a little bit before writing a review as you can see so far, it’s ran a total of 331 hours and you can see all of this from your smart phone as well as the lcd screen on the unit itself. It’s not extremely loud, but if you’re going to use this in a household family room or somewhere, people may be living in the sound could get annoying after a while but if you’re using it on the job site in an attic or in the basement which I do I hardly hear it from the second floor unless I’m really listening for it. Also, a nice thing you could set this on a timer so you could have it off while you’re at home and have it on while you’re away at work for $1000. They better have all these features. But it’s currently on sale for around $800. I would recommend this to any business of home for business restoration, serving floods or water damaged properties. It works very well quickly and efficiently and effective.

Impossible to operate.
Can’t get it to stay on. Big disappointment. And too late to return.

It's not just for basements
We've had 2 major house floods, and then another property we owned had a flood that happened just days after we replaced the flooring in the basement. So it was time to get something to have on hand right at the time it happens so we aren't waiting around to get something going and to stop as much damage as possible. But I found another need for this. Humidity in the kitchen during canning season. I have a bunch of pans of water going at one time; one to sterilize jars, one to warm the lids, one to dip the fruit in to get the peelings off and one to put the full jars in to process them. It's a mess in the kitchen during this. The walls begin to drip with the humidity. It has damaged the paint in the past. We've considered getting a window swamp cooler to help with the heat but realized that would add more humidity. This thing has an ability to drop the humidity fast.I'm grateful that we thought of this and ordered this because it was ruining my food production. My freeze dried foods almost instantly sucked in the humidity in the air and then I have to run them through the machine again. It's been such a pain. It made such a huge difference once the humidity was down. The food stayed crunchy and I had enough time to get them into sealed jars/bags.Super helpful item.
