These crampons are a great addition to anyone's mountain climbing or winter hiking gear ...
These crampons are a great addition to anyone's mountain climbing or winter hiking gear and the cost is one tenth of those in the sports stores. So far I've used them twice on a semi icy-semi snowy terrain and they were pretty stable. The design is very lightweight and with the 18 teeth, I felt pretty secure while breaking into ice or walking on snow. These crampons have contacts made of durable stainless steel and are easy to put on so I think they would last for quite some time and perfect for an occasional hiker like myself. Overall very happy with the purchase as they fitted me at EU 45 / UK 10.5 for the LARGE model.

Sturdy, secure, quick and relatively cheap if you going to get some, get these
I'll start by listing its flaws, if you're an in-between size and cant work out which you need, buy small, my first pair were slightly too large and slipped on my shoes; not enough to cause an accident but enough to make for some interesting moments on steep slopes, plus even with the right size the back can be the tiniest bit loose in side to side movement so be careful walking across slopes. That said...For the price I was expecting something much lower quality, what I got was a pair of great, quick to put on shoe spikes, I used these on a recent trip to the lake district where I found they're ideal for steep slopes of wet grass or loose dirt, they provided that extra bit of traction and rigidity that had me climbing easier in a pair of approach shoes than my friends in a pair of B2 climbing boots; plus so long as you buy the right size they're good on rocks too.In short if you're going to be sliding about in regular boots but the conditions aren't right for a full pair of crampons these will do the job and maybe save you from getting too personal with the local dirt.Plus I have no idea what that Velcro strap is for, its far too short to go round ankles, over the shoe or anywhere it would be useful for securing the crampon, answers on the back of a postcard.

Great alternative to more expensive branded spikes.
These are a fantastic alternative to more expensive brands of micro spikes. I live in The Lakes and the last couple of weeks I’ve had the opportunity to really put them through their paces. They are definitely best on ice and hard/compacted snow. Soft snow tends to accumulate into “platforms” underneath and you have to continuously bang them to get the clumps off which is a mild encumberment and renders them a bit useless. This is the same with all microspikes though and not an issue specific to this brand. They’re very well made and come with their own handy carry pouch. I’m a size 40 Salomon 4D Quest and bought the Small spikes which admittedly are a bit of a fight to get on, but they do fit. I’ve yet to try them on any other shoe but believe they will go onto trail shoes, trainers etc. Very good value for money, I have saved myself £30 by buying these rather than K******s.

excellent set of grips to assist on snow and ice ...
excellent set of grips to assist on snow and ice light weight easy to carry comes with a storage bag, can be worn with almost any shoe/boot, used recently on a snow ice covered mountain in the Scottish highlands.Although these are much easier to use they are no replacement for true mountain crampons but they do give you a little more confidence and work well on slippy rocks when crossing rivers streams.

Wow! Exceptional for the money!
Amazing! These things could save your life! Big big difference on packed snow and ice without them. A must have addition to your backpack if you're heading into the fells in winter conditions.

Used in Iceland
Took these to Iceland, allowed us to climb 45 degree compacted snow which couldn't be done without them (we tried!). Easy to put on, just stretches over boots. They come with their own bag. Can't speak for their durability yet, only used them a few times. They are not rigid (just chains and rubber) and not too heavy so they are easy to store in your bag. If you're going hiking in hills or mountains where there could be snow or ice it's worth having crampons in your bag just in case. The large size fitted my 10.5 UK size boots.

We bought these for a week long break in Iceland over Xmas, these are a must have for any trip where you may need to walk on ice, they slip on and off in seconds, size was perfect, wore for a few hours every day and still in perfect condition. Worth every penny for the security they give.

Awesome
these crampsin shoe grips worked like a charm for my mountain climbing trip last week in the Swiss alps. The provide maximum safety and comfort and had a rally tight grip on the snow/ice/ground. It came packaged well and The price was super cheap and I definetely recommend purchasing these if you are considering going mountain climbing or any Climbing if some sort.
